Orangish-amber body, moderately effervescing under a holding, off-white head. Odd but not off-putting aroma of malts and vegetals with light mineral and herbs (I’m reminded of the days when I was harvesting all the Czech and Russian brews in the area). Stale caramel flavor with a balance of grasses and herbs. Mid-bodied, but the aftertaste does not last long. I’m left confused, and it’s not because I’m dissing A/B. For a beer that’s labeled "American Ale", this came off as a better than average European Strong Lager... or maybe a decent Bock? Maybe I’m losing it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recently, at a friend’s BBQ, probably the last one of the season.

Jan 6, 2010 Bottle. Amber with thicker and longer lasting head (compared to Bud). Some toast and grassy hop. Ok flavor with light and short finish.

Dec 25, 2009 Poured amber with an off white head, smelled of malt and slight floral hops. Taste upfront is a bit of cascade leading into hay and cornlike malt with a sweet finish. Better showing from bud, but disappointing.

Dec 6, 2009 This poured a darker amber color with an off white head. Aroma was toasted malts, and slight hint of bittering and aroma hops. Flavor was was very smooth, some light caramel, pale malts, and just enough cascade hops to make this somewhat balanced. Not great but much better than I was expecting.

Nov 28, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours orange-amber, clear with medium long-lasting off-white head that leaves some lace. The aroma has some bready malts, some caramel, light fruitiness, and subtle grassy hops. The flavor is malty - actual malts, not adjunct - with some toffee and light caramel notes. There is actually a light hop flavor, too (in a beer labeled Budweiser?!). The finish is somewhat dry and balanced - malty with soft grassy hops with just a touch of citrus. The body is medium in fullness. The brew has a brisk high level of carbonation - but not too much (unlike most bottled AB lagers). Overall - *much* better than expected. It is actually a pretty decent session beer. It actually has flavor - and the flavor it has is actually not bad.

Nov 27, 2009 Updated: Nov 28, 2009i am not lying at all....i through up on one nice sip. i am not B.S...., but i really did. the flavors did not do justice, the appearance was off, and the smells were definatley from a macro. not a good job, and do yourself a favor and not poisen yourself drinking this stuff.

Nov 24, 2009 I got to taste this fresh at the brewery in which it was made along with a lot of other samples, and this was the best of the group. Amber with white head. Fruity esters, toast, and bread body. Some herb and pine hops at a level more than I expected. Not any bitterness in the finish. Quite drinkable and flavorful that is hard to achieve on the scale that they do.

Nov 10, 2009 Pours amber color with off white head. Malty aroma with some grassy hops. Flavor is mildly sweet caramel malts with a touch of bitter hops and some soapiness. Light to medium body with average carbonation. Not great, but better than I was expecting.
