Decent retention. Fruity, malty aroma… caramel, toffee. Medium-bodied with Champagne-like carbonation. Very well-balanced, but not a whole lot going on. Short, crisp, clean finish. A little better than expected… lacks the acetaldehyde found in their lager. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells floral and lightly citrussy with some dry malty hints. Tastes of toasted malt, some earthy hints, pepper, some bitterness, some citrus. Well balanced. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2008 22 oz bottle. Amber coloured beer with a very thick and persistent white head. Aroma is lightly malty and a soft chewy nutty sweetness. A very soft floral/fruity hopopy aroma on the top. A kiss of floral/fruity sweetness and a bit of light maltiness. Decent balance. It’s a bit too sweet for my tastes, but it certainly isn’t a bad beer. A light sweet nuttiness. Cornfield (4981), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Not a bad pour, a clear copper body with a dense, sustained off-white head. Very light aroma, caramelly with a touch of orchard fruit and some mineral water. Overly carbonated and gassy like A-B’s infamous lagers. The flavor is watery malt, mineral water, and some soily bitterness. While drinkable, this is a waste of Cascades... if they’re really there.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Copper color with a moderate taupe colored head. Pale, toasted and caramel malt scents. Earthy to floral hops in the background. THe malt seems English and the hops seem American. Calm, balanced and uneventful aromas. Dry woody malt flavors. Seems a bit watery and tingly on the tongue. A decent, no fault amber ale. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours an amber color with a decent little head and nice lacing. The nose is lightly toasty with some nutty qualities. A bit of sharp husk in the flavor and an acidic twang in the tail. The flavor has light notes of cascade and a moderate body for the base malt I recon. Much bolder than I anticipated by at the same time very safe. SNPA has been out for nearly 30 years and it’s always been fantastic. This is just meh. Tmoney99 (4809), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a clear deep amber color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Medium sweet malty and small hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with an medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Better than my expectations.
