| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 18, 2008 I give slack to macro brewers who attempt to innovate at all. This is an enjoyable beer in its own right. The aroma is a a malty, caramel smell. The appearance is a nice ruby color, thin white head. The flavor is sweet, caramel, toffee, malty. Medium mouthfeel. The finish is a mild hop flavor, fairly clean. Good beer overall, especially for a macrobrew. I must give the devil their due; Budweiser did alright with this. I would at least consider this on a part with Bass Ale. jodyperkins (74), Mississippi, USA

Typical AB carbonation present. Weak head that disappeared quickly. Nice aroma - actually had a bit of a hoppy sweat smell instead of ricey sweat. Decent flavor. Not that pleasant in the mouth but I’d take these over a regular Bud any day.

Well made- Not something I would buy, BUT, if it’s between a Sam Adams and one of these, I might buy the Bud. Sorry, but true. LooseCannon (938), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours clear copper in color with full foamy light brown head. Aroma sweet caramel, spicy and lite hops. Taste sweet candy, caramel and hops with bitter finish. Not a bad beer for a Bud. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Scored a two buck bomber which was great since I really never wanted to buy an entire six pack. Decent beer with some good aspects and some lacking qualities as well. Rich amber~copper color, long lasting 1/2" head and spotty lacing around the glass. Caramel and toffee notes followed by a mild floral hop aroma...and I do mean mild. Nice medium malt body that is well balanced and fairly calm. Toasted malt and honey roasted nut flavor that leads to some light banana fruitiness. Hops aren’t too forward in the flavor, in fact the malt seems to dominate. Could easily use some additional Cascade hops in the aroma and flavor. yesyouam (611), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Budweiser American Ale is a very clear and sparkling light copper ale. It has a small, elastic off-white head that leaves good lacing and has good retention. The aroma is citrusy, with notes of light grain, starfruit, pepper and alcohol. It smells like a homebrew. It is medium-light bodied, pretty smooth, with a pretty crisp finish. It has a slightly metallic feel. It is pretty mellow and well balanced and dry. There are notes of Cascades, pretzels and pepper. Not bad, A-B! BMan1113VR (2981), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
