| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Can’t knock it until I try it. Mercifully cheap bottle from the deli (same price as the regular Bud-$1.25). Poured copper with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma marked by honey-bran cereal, with cracker jack, granola and sweet horse feed. Some grassy hoppiness, but no discernable cascade aromas or other aromatic citurs/pine hop essence I can pick up. Cereal/caramel malt flavors with some citrus hoppiness in the back, but overall muted. Medium bodied though gassy. All said and done drinkable, but below average by craft standards. Flavor is lightly hopped and heavily malted. Smooth body and finish. Not a bad effort. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2008 10/02/2008: Budweiser American Ale is transparent, amber in color, and has a whipped beige-colored head. There is a generous level of carbonation and a sweet, lightly roasty caramel malt aroma with some orange and floral hop notes. The flavor isn’t nearly as rich as the aroma hinted at, but it is still decent. Overall the flavor is dry and well balanced between a mild maltiness in the front and a mild level of hop flavor toward the backside. The bitterness level is low to mild, but still enjoyable overall. The beer has an average body and palate and fairly smooth. Overall I am satisfied with this beer attempt from Budweiser. It is actually better than expected and maybe be a hint of other good things to come from this macro brewer...

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Not a bad beer, really. I had tried a more bitter amber the same night, and this one goes down easy. Nice grassy aroma and not much aftertaste or bitterness. Very drinkable compared to other nationally brewed beers.
