1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 collinmb (61) - - JAN 26, 2013
Essentially this is just a heavier bud. I guess it would be better to drink to get drunk because its 6%. Not a sip and enjoy beer.

Amber colored pour with a white head. Sweet bread, banana, yeast, a bit of water, and some grain. Light apple and metallic notes, some slight tartness, too. Flavor has a surprising amount of banana, which is nice. Toasted malt, bread, and yeast. Lightly metallic and tart on the finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with paperthin head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is caramel malt and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a watery malt and light caramel. Not much going on with this one.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Shanebrews (62) - - JAN 25, 2013
The color of this beer is a shade or two darker than Budweiser. It heads well. The aroma is full of the beech wood. The malt is dominated by caramel malt, but is a bit thin. Little to no discernable hop characteristic. A smooth brew.

Has a nice malty and surprising smooth. The malt has a bit of caramel and inform tidally no hops. It's good for a distraction.

Dark Lager? I’m not even sure I’d give it that much! Pours about like a budweiser maybe half a shade darker at best with a white head. Nose is funky, sweet malt but almost with some artificial notes as well? Strange. I get some banana character sneaking in there too. Palate is of cheap macro malt that is honestly kind of rough maybe that’s due to them cranking this up to 6%abv (they market the hell out of it being that too). Overall, just a waste of time I drain poured about the last third. Go ahead and try it because if you’re like me you know deep down that this beer is going to suck but you love trying new beers and there’s always that feeling of "I just gotta know" bugging you. Just know, that feeling you have about this beer sucking? Spot. On.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 PorterPounder (4610) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium golden with nice bubble action and a pillowy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. The love affair stops there. Aroma is that of sweet gumballs, some wet copper pennies. Flavor is artificially sweet with some corn syrup notes, a hint of wet paper, some green apples. Mouthfeel is sticky, but not in a good way. Reminds me of a refined malt liquor. Expected just a bit more considering the hype. Earlier Rating: 11/4/2012 Total Score: 2.9 Panama City Beach, Fl - Carousel Market - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling medium copper pour, light off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is pretty much neutral, a hint of nuttiness. Flavor is mellow, with some light caramel notes, a bit of toffee sweetness. Mouthfeel has a nice stickiness to it. Decent.
