With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Very little aroma. Thin orange color, fairly robust white head that thins rapidly. Tastes very sweet, almost like candy. Medium mouthfeel with adequate carbonation. Overall a pleasant if somewhat sweet but drinkable commercial beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bud with the slightest craft touch. Amber hints in coloring and a little more hoppy. Overall the same with a liitle more umph.

Pours a light amber. Has a typical lager aroma like Bud. Taste is a little more distinct unlike regular bud with some amber ale elements.

(12 oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of cardboard, grain, and caramel. Flavor of grain, cardboard, caramel, and earth. Tastes so black.

From bottle...I’m guessing this is right...Batch #91406 Poured in small Duvel glass. Big head with lace and a gold color. Aroma of grains, rice pudding, honey, orange peel. Modest carbonation and mouth feel. Flavors of light malt, powder sugar, wheat grains, amber malt, light caramel, slight hops. Overall refreshing, sweet, easy drinking with minimal malt or hops. While I was less impressed with some of the others in this series and with Bud in general, this really isn’t bad for the style....maybe just the handling if the beers in this zip code series are nearly the same...or maybe it is different.

Bottle. Pale lager? Wouldn?t say so. Pours a light amber. Corn and grass notes. Really no different than bud.

Pours dark gold color with small white head very bubbly. Aroma is light caramel and grain. Taste is cereal, dry grassy notes with mild sweetness. Dry finish. Not that great but its pretty good for a bud.

Can’t really tell the difference between this and bud light other than a little sweeter flavor. I don’t understand the black crown, oh well. Taste is like bud light but a little sweeter and higher alcohol.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This is the 4% version made for Utah. The aroma is faint caramel/bready malts, the Budweiser acetaldehyde is also noticeable. The tastes is soft bready malts, fruity/apple character, hint of caramel malty sweetness. Very thin body. This thing is lifeless. Footbalmed due to lack of interest.

Bottle. Caramel color with a pretty dense head. Hay, sugar and citrus. Really clean.
