COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Bottle from Wegmans. Pours clear copper with a small white head, light lacing, active carbonation. The aroma is sweet corn and a little bit on the skunky side. The taste reminds me of Bud with a couple scoops of powdered sugar added.. scratch that.. maybe sweet N low added in. The top part of this is the name. Awful.

No head, no aroma, light taste. Darker flavor and less citrus taste than a regular Budweiser, yet still very light. Almost watery. Can be satisfying on very hot days when wanting water with alcohol in it.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain/cereal, husks, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of fusel alcohol (isopropyl), concrete, metal shavings. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Night of the Living Swill Part Two. Almost nothing going on in the nose...the usual clumsy malt and some mild flaws, but really there’s just not much odor at all. Sweet and fizzy in the mouth, with expected grain husks and slight chemical aftertaste. To think that this was chosen above all others of SUPER DUPER PROJECT TWELVE is pretty sad. At least the vanilla thing was drinkable...I wouldn’t even water plants with this.

Pours light amber with lots of visual carbonation but the head quickly dissolves. Light sweet grainy aroma. Lots of carbonation on the palate with some sweetness. The hops are really not detectable and just balances out the malt. Dry clean finish. Overall pretty refreshing and not overly filling.

Bottle. Pours amber with a medium off-white head. Sweet and malty aroma. Sweet and grainy flavor with a touch of caramel. Cardboard like finish. Overly sweet and bland.

RONCOD (216) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Light amber color with almost no head. The aroma almost smelled like cream soda. The flavor was a light caramel, banana. The flavor could be stronger, but this was drinkable.

12 Fl Oz bottle: badged as 91406. Drank on 7 Feb 2013 in my hotel room (San Francisco). I quiet enjoyed this actually: lager based but with a bit of character. Golden body, but with a slightly darker hue than most lagers: same white head that refuses to hang around though. Not quite odourless but almost: some grainy and hop notes can just about be detected if you sniff hard enough. Crisp and refreshing with a corn bread and mild hop feel. Forget who brews it and the beers isn’t bad at all. It’s a lager with a bit of umph to it and should be marked accordingly.

bottle. Really just seems like a more full bodied Budweiser. Nothing special, but quite drinkable.

Beers like this make me hspot for microbrewerys. Absolutely horrible. There is no discernable aroma, it actually stinks to me. It starts off sweet as pie- make that sweet corn pie. Then you get an overwhelming taste of, I don’t know cheap vodka? It taste like pure alcohol masked in sweet corn vomit. Never buy this in my humble opinion.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and caramel aroma. Malt and caramel flavor with light grain and low backing hops. Medium bodied. Grain and malt linger with light caramel and low backing hops.
