With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

12 oz bottle given to me by my son so I would tick it. Nose is sweet caramel, corn, and a very faint hint of a vanilla/bubblegum (maybe from Beechwood chips?) Clear yellow orange with a small pale yellow head. Flavor is a sweet corny pale lager note with a hint of skunkiness.

Bottle. Medium head that stayed for a awhile. Clear honey amber color. Aroma of grains, hay, slight caramel, corn. Light sweetness. Light body. It is smooth as advertised. just enough taste and flavor to call this beer not terrible. Some caramel notes and slight grain and hops comprise this. Watery. Ok. Slight metallic taste.

Rated 3/24/13. Portion of a 12 oz bottle into a Hunahpuís snifter. Let me repeat that: Budweiser Black Crown was poured into a Hunahpuís snifter. From notes. A: Pours a light amber color, with a quickly fading white-shaded head. S: Sweet caramel, cotton candy, and a pleasant lack of adjunct. Not ígoodí, however itís really not an awful nose. T: Sadly, thereís a more notable adjunct presence on the flavor, followed by a bit of caramel...and a whole lot of nothing. Vintage Budweiser! M: It feels too thick and heavy on the palate given how flavorless it is. This should be easy to drink - and isnít. O: Better than BL Platinum, I suppose. Iíve had it once, I never need to have it again.

This tastes very much like malt liquor, pours with a dark brown/yellow color and nothing really much of note of this beer. it does have some caramel taste, but it is not that much better than drinking a olde english if you ask me!

Like a mutation between 80% regular Budweiser and 20% Steel Reserve. Tastes of water and carbonation on the way down. The aftertaste is light and pleasant. The extra alcohol is hidden well. It might just nudge out regular Budweiser and some other mass-produced beers.

Far better malt character than regular budweiser, but it is useless to compare, this is a pseudo craft that bud is using to try to injure craft beer. It isnít that great.

Golden yellow color with a slightly crisp taste. Minimal head, you can tell from the light taste and body that this is a typical American style beer. It could be classified as Budís slightly older and bolder brother, but not by much. I got it because of the Super Bowl ads. The ads were better than the beer...

Voltage, Philadelphia bottle ($4): Pours orangish. Aroma is grain and something that almost resembles caramel malt. Taste is pretty minimal, but has a slightly sweet finish. In some ways, the less said about this beer the better. In any case, I would rather have this than Bud Heavy any day.

Another budwiser attempt to get into the micro world... Carmel notes with that old bud taste

Bought from town. 6pack. Pours a clear urine yellow with a trim milky head. Tastes and smells of limeade, LME, fried rice, and corn husks. Better than expected Writing this on my friendís computer; it sucks.
