COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Voltage, Philadelphia bottle ($4): Pours orangish. Aroma is grain and something that almost resembles caramel malt. Taste is pretty minimal, but has a slightly sweet finish. In some ways, the less said about this beer the better. In any case, I would rather have this than Bud Heavy any day.

Another budwiser attempt to get into the micro world... Carmel notes with that old bud taste

Bought from town. 6pack. Pours a clear urine yellow with a trim milky head. Tastes and smells of limeade, LME, fried rice, and corn husks. Better than expected Writing this on my friendís computer; it sucks.

22oz "bomber" poured into a pint glass. Hey, for $2.19, I decided to try it out. Appearance: Typical amber color ... EXTREMELY clear. Decent head that goes away quickly. Obviously, no lacing. Smell: Actually not TOO horrible... a bit of adjuncts in the aroma, but mostly a low-quality malt. I was surprised I didnít hate it. A bit of sweetness as well. Taste: Tastes not at all like I thought it would... holy HELL is it sweet. Itís not awful, but Jesus. Adjunct flavors came through a lot in the beginning. Lots of sweetness, corn, low-quality malts. A woody taste comes through as well. After taste is of cheap malt, but itís inoffensive. Not the worst beer Iíve ever had, but bleh. It is what it is... for the price, itís good to get cheap drunk. Itís certainly better than Budweiser, but not by much. Thereís a lot of sweetness, so I expect a lot of adjunct fans to fall in love with this.

translucent gold with a dense beige head. smooth medium body with medium-high carbonation.

aroma: pale malt, noble hops.

taste: adjunct grain, pale malt, leafy hops, and a touch of wood.

starts decent, but has a strange tangy papery note that builds.

A good finger of head on a clear, amber colored body. The aroma is a little grain with some fruit, the beechwood is evident too. Smells nice. The taste is balanced and smooth. It has only the mildest bitterness to go with itís malty body (for a lager). The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Itís a smooth and tasty lager.

Bottle from Wegmans. Pours clear copper with a small white head, light lacing, active carbonation. The aroma is sweet corn and a little bit on the skunky side. The taste reminds me of Bud with a couple scoops of powdered sugar added.. scratch that.. maybe sweet N low added in. The top part of this is the name. Awful.

No head, no aroma, light taste. Darker flavor and less citrus taste than a regular Budweiser, yet still very light. Almost watery. Can be satisfying on very hot days when wanting water with alcohol in it.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain/cereal, husks, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of fusel alcohol (isopropyl), concrete, metal shavings. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Night of the Living Swill Part Two. Almost nothing going on in the nose...the usual clumsy malt and some mild flaws, but really thereís just not much odor at all. Sweet and fizzy in the mouth, with expected grain husks and slight chemical aftertaste. To think that this was chosen above all others of SUPER DUPER PROJECT TWELVE is pretty sad. At least the vanilla thing was drinkable...I wouldnít even water plants with this.
