COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Pours light amber with lots of visual carbonation but the head quickly dissolves. Light sweet grainy aroma. Lots of carbonation on the palate with some sweetness. The hops are really not detectable and just balances out the malt. Dry clean finish. Overall pretty refreshing and not overly filling.

Bottle. Pours amber with a medium off-white head. Sweet and malty aroma. Sweet and grainy flavor with a touch of caramel. Cardboard like finish. Overly sweet and bland.

RONCOD (221) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Light amber color with almost no head. The aroma almost smelled like cream soda. The flavor was a light caramel, banana. The flavor could be stronger, but this was drinkable.

12 Fl Oz bottle: badged as 91406. Drank on 7 Feb 2013 in my hotel room (San Francisco). I quiet enjoyed this actually: lager based but with a bit of character. Golden body, but with a slightly darker hue than most lagers: same white head that refuses to hang around though. Not quite odourless but almost: some grainy and hop notes can just about be detected if you sniff hard enough. Crisp and refreshing with a corn bread and mild hop feel. Forget who brews it and the beers isn’t bad at all. It’s a lager with a bit of umph to it and should be marked accordingly.

bottle. Really just seems like a more full bodied Budweiser. Nothing special, but quite drinkable.

Beers like this make me hspot for microbrewerys. Absolutely horrible. There is no discernable aroma, it actually stinks to me. It starts off sweet as pie- make that sweet corn pie. Then you get an overwhelming taste of, I don’t know cheap vodka? It taste like pure alcohol masked in sweet corn vomit. Never buy this in my humble opinion.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and caramel aroma. Malt and caramel flavor with light grain and low backing hops. Medium bodied. Grain and malt linger with light caramel and low backing hops.

This is not a terrible beer. Pours a very light amber in color, high carbonation is noticeable however the head is thin and dissipates quickly. The nose is slightly grassy with a bit of lager-like esters. Once in the mouth there is a noticeable sweetness that is not caramel-malt but rather a cidery sweetness reminiscent of table sugar. A noticeable "Budweiser" lager yeast taste finishes the palate as the over-carbonation quickly dries out any iota of a finishing note. It leaves behind a very unnatural and chemical-like sweetness bordering on medicinal on the palate. The four types of domestic hops are really unidentifiable and primarily a reason to market this beer differently. I’d like to try this head to head with the original Budweiser.

12 oz bottle into a pilsner glass. Born on Jan 08, 2013. A - Pours a golden amber body. One finger of white foam dissipates quickly leaving behind zero head. S - Sweet corn, touch of malt. Not sure what else, just predominantly sweet. T - Again with the sweet corn. Finishes nearly dry with a lingering stale bready malt flavor. Not bad actually. M - Thin but spritzy. O - Not as bad as I was expecting. An improvement over standard Bud and the Platinum, but I won’t be buying this again.

Amber color, no head to speak of. No aroma. Average taste. Descent session beer if you want a higher ABV content without tasting anything. Wont have again
