With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Was truly disappointed when first tasted this beer. It looked excellent and I thought Bud finally got one right. Taste was just not there and not one I will look for. Better than regular Bud, but still disappointing!

Hazy golden beer with some orange accents. Thin, white head. Aromas are slightly woody and a bit skunky. Tastes of corn mash, some barley, tiny hints of caramel, and skunked beer. Some caramel malt in the finish makes this beer much better than regular Budweiser. Session beer and not terrible.

Meh.... Taste like bud light platinum. Very unimpressive. Though it does give you a nice shine.

Bonus points for the higher alcohol percentage. It basically tastes just like Budweiser though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle, born on date of September 30, 2012 (Julian Date 12273 stamped on label). This is labeled as Batch 91406. A buddy bought me some of the Project 12 beers since he found them on sale recently (bought the 12 pack for just $5.75), so I might as well try them. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention is good, and there’s a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like sweet and grainy malt, and some caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also the addition of some nuts. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, with a good amount of carbonation. Truthfully, this is better than I expected it to be. Worth a try if you can pick up a single somewhere.

Pour is a clear copper with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is slight caramel malt with some sweetness. Flavor is no different than Budweiser. Adjunecty with no aftertaste. Gimmicky beer but damn if I know what the gimmick is.

Bottle: The aroma consists of faint caramel and grass. It pours a transparent golden-amber with small white head that quickly fades to a thin film and leaves some thin spotty lacing. The flavor starts with some faint caramel and fruit. The finish has some oxidation and some faint grass. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall...it tastes like a Pale Ale that was weak flavored to begin with...and this one is a year old. I would choose it over regular BMC.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear yellow-orange pour with white fizzy head. Aroma brought notes of corn, biscuit, bread, some grassy hay notes, slight watery grain. Taste is a mix of sweet corn, biscuit, bread, some slight earthy tones, hints of wet hay, finishing sweet, bitter.

Bottle. Pours a orangish color with white head. Sweet, malty, corn aromas. Malty, corn, caramel, macro brew flavors. Slightly better than a macro beer.
