COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Bottle. Pours a very clear light amber color with a smallish white head. Nose is rather skunky, I think. Taste is also very bleh - like a bit stronger-tasting Bud. Bleh.

Golden amber color, head dissipates quickly, spicy aroma, smooth taste of malt with caramel and sweet after taste. Definitely better than regular Budweiser, not a craft beer so this is mellow and can be one of those beers you pound down for quantity instead of one you sip for taste and quality, Others have given this a low rating but I am pretty impressed and will keep this brew in my everyday drinker choices.

12 oz. bottle. I admit I was somewhat hopeful but . . . now I’m embarrassed. This is just putrid shit from AB. Medium orange pour, barely any head. Aroma like sugar water and touches of caramel malt. Flavor is corn, corn sugar, corn syrup, tons of sweetness, maybe a touch of something other than sweetness. Cardboard? Who knows. There are people out there that this will be the best beer they’ve ever had. That sadness should echo forever.

Bottles from Capone’s and Wegman’s. Pours copper with minimal head. Nose is faint; some caramel malt and hops. Tastes of caramel malt, finishing hops, and some breadiness. More flavor than regular Bud, but not something worth buying.

Sweet corn-like aroma. Gold color with a white head that dissipated quickly. Very clear. Lots of caramel in the flavor. A hint of spicy hops in the background. Balance is way towards the malty end. No diacetly or fruitiness . Medium body with high carbonation. Overall, its very clean and lagered well, but seems to have too much caramel for the style. The caramel reduces its sessional ability. I would like more balance.

Bottle. Clear amber body, small fizzy white head, decent retention. Nose is decent, caramel malt, slightly grainy, a little sweetness. Flavor isn’t much better than your average craft amber. It’s way too overly sweet up front and fades to a corn syrup laced finish. Can’t say I get a whole lot of beechwood character, but maybe a bit late on the back end. Light to medium bodied with a bit of sugary stickiness and fizzy carbonation. Not that horrible, but not exactly something I’d seek out again.

From bottle. Pours golden and clear. Aroma was sweet bready malt. Taste was bud-crap-lite-beer. But hey, change the name, bottle it and make a million.

Literally tastes just like standard Budweiser, except this one has 6% alcohol. Keep away from fraternities. Looks like bruised bloody kidney piss. Try once, then avoid forever.

This just pisses me off. This is some absolute crap. Thin and watery. Nose is fruity and a light malt aroma. God damnit. Sweet, muddy malty, waste of $1.67.

Bottle - fair size foamy head, light gold color, very sweet malty aroma and flavor, some honey notes, a little too sweet for me ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
