COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Definite corn taste and pour aroma.heavy metallic smell. Very clear and fizzy. Like I said corn taste... Horrible attempt at a craft beer like substance.

At the A-B Biergarten in St. Louis. A little darker than Bud. Barely distinguishable flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Clear golden body with a small white head. Hay, grain, perfume. Just another mainstream beer.

Bottle. A- Metallic, grainy, malty, caramel, sweet. A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head. T- Caramel, malty, cereal. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- This is what happens when big beer companies try to actually make good beer. You get stuff like this. Nothing I would claim to have drank, but still a definite upgrade from regular old Bud or Bud Light. It has a clean and balanced taste but it’s just pretty dang bland.

Draft on tap at the Anheuser Busch Brewery (St. Louis, MO). Pours a deeper amber golden hue, deeper copper glow with lively carbonation and a frothy whitish head atop. Decent stick around and lacing. Aromas are a bit bready, gentle yeastiness with touches of biscuit, crusty bread and growing yeastiness. Grainy, a bit cereal, smooth. Initial is fuzzy and lighter end of medium bodied, some graininess, a bit of green apple, touches of straw. Middle is a touch sweet, faint tart bite with straw, grainy malts and bread. Some yeastiness, fresh and cool grainy malts. A touch of bread, gentle fruit, that green apple hint keeps coming back. Finish is a bit yeasty, dry, faint aspirin. Ok, I guess. Looks nice.

On tap at the Biergarten. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has light grain and and biscuit but a bit thin overall. Flavor is light grass, straw and light grain with a thin finish.

Can from the LCBO. A dark amber with hints of sun shining through. Has a frothy white head which lasts a while. Nose is mostly sugary, with toasty and roasted malts, caramel. Sweet(caramel) with little residual bitterness on the sides of tongue. Fruity finish leaves a little bitterness. Id happily drink this if it was an offering at a family function.

Tasted on 6/5/14 from a 25oz can purchased at a local gas station. Pours clear, bright orange amber with an average, fizzy off-white head that disappears fairly quickly. The nose is corny malt with a touch more caramel than the average pale lager, but not really much more hop aroma. The flavor is the same, a pale lager with a bit more caramel malt, and just the lightest touch of green hops. The body is medium with fizzy carbonation and a short light caramel and hint of spicy green hops finish.

I wasn’t a fan of this one. I had low expectations from a Budweiser beer, and while it has a little more flavour than a standard Bud, it didn’t have much else going for it.

Really not to bad for the price, better than my expectations forsure, nothing to go crazy about but better than original bud
