Flip top bottle (2007) at Coppertail Brewing during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. Dark brown with off-white head. Aromas of malt, wheat, caramel. Tastes of caramel, malt, toffee. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

2007 bootle at RBWG. Well, its better than most Budweiser fare I guess. But still not very good. Big caramel sweetness, raisins, stale, oxidized.

Bottle - Vintage 2007 - Caramel malts and dark sugars. Dark brown copper with a decent white head. Dark malty caramel malts. Like a light Barleywine or American strong.

2007 bottle shared at RBWG 2015! Pours a clear copper with no real head or lacing. Aroma and taste are heavy on oxidized caramel. This seems to me the bet they use as the base before watering it down to make everything else, meh.

Whalezbro bottle at the RBWG GT. Nose is purely raisin and cardboard. All oxidized. Holy oxidized mess. Total paper and water. Very bad.

"for Budweiser, this is liquid gold...but in reality, when stacked up against many other good beers, it’s just ok. it does actually taste like they used hops generously, malt, etc...not urine, so that’s a plus. never thought i’d rate a bud close to a 3, but for the price, i want a 4+.

Bottle: 2005 Vintage
Deep, clear, bubbly golden-amber with a yellow-white head.
Aroma is strong hay, wood, syrupy fruit, butter.
Taste is a bit oxidized after 9 years of aging, but still remarkably carbonated.
Sweet hay, grass, caramel taste.
Feels darker than it is...not bad for such an old-timer.

Bottle. Molasses and buttery barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head - surprisingly lively carbonation. Sweet buttery caramel malt and hay flavor. Not bad - a pretty mild doppelbock though.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2012 2007 Vintage aged 4 years. Poured from swing-top bottle into tulip glass. Very dark but transparent reddish-brown color with thick persistent beige head. Good lacing. Intense malt sweetness with hints of toasted black bread, dark chocolate, toffee, roasted marshmallows, black licorice, plums and currants. Rich bready aftertaste. High alcohol percentage is smooth and warming. Balanced bitterness, but no apparent aroma hops (especially at this advanced age.) Despite the dark, heavy recipe, a clean lager finish remains. I’ve read plenty of mediocre reviews of Budweiser Brew Masters Private Reserve. I’ll admit a bias against the monolithic AB-Inbev, but I must also admit this particular bottle was one of the most sophisticated, enjoyable beers I’ve ever had. I was shocked, too. I’d strongly recommend buying one and stashing it for several years.
