Pours a clear golden with a well-lacing frothy white head. Potent alcohol and noble hop aroma has some grainy corn to it. Starts dry and thin with lots of adjunct flavor and burning alcohol. Slightly better than regular Budweiser, but charging $12 for this is absolutely rediculous. Thanks to JPDIPSO for sharing his bottle so I didn’t have to waste my money buying a bottle. There are a lot of better malt liquors for much cheaper.

2006 vintage from Capone’s. Merdium gold pour with 2-finger whitish head. Aroma of grainy pale malt, some berry notes, and a pretty big apricot/peach waft to the olfactory receptors. The flavor was pale malty, on the sweet side, with some heavy syrup flavor and a touch of raspberry. Toward the end, it got a bit cloying and fell apart a little, but the first half was not bad at all. Better than I expected.

Big f’in bottle (1 Quart, 14.5 oz), 2007 Vintage. This poured a clear, brilliant reddish orange with a nice cap of yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up deep, artificially-sweetened caramel and toasted grains with hints of dark fruit surrounding.. also an odd alcohol-fueled metallic & herbal thing going on. The flavor had toasty drawn caramel, hints of chocolate, and peppery-spiced dark fruits.. decent components, but a messy presentation that culminated in a tacky, hot herbal finish. Medium-bodied with creamy carbonation on the middle, but hot alcohol marrs the finish a bit. This was OK.

Pours yellow like piss. Smells like Budweiser, alcohol and corn syrup. Tastes like water and corn. Overly cloying. Nasty unbalanced crap.

Courtesy of Degarth. Thanks? Pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma is blandish with muted dates that have been festering in the sun for who knows how long. I also sensed faint roasted malts and vague hops. The taste is mild and medium – middle of the road sweet dark fruitiness followed by creamed corn, cereal and a bit of booze. There is a mild hop and metallic note near the finish.

Bottle, Vail Beer Fest.
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing.
Body is clear medium yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (grain), with strong notes of DMS and alcohol.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy/lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
I must say I had higher hopes (laugh if you will), but when I smelled the glass all I was confronted with was the usual riff-raff of a malt liquor (hell, I didn’t even know we had it classified here as such when I was sampling it). Whereas the Michelob Celebrate might actually fool a beginner into thinking it was a serious beer, this one couldn’t fool anyone. Total drainpour and I had to hold my tongue when the rep pouring asked what I thought of it. Could be worse I suppose, but it sure could be a lot better for such fancy-ass packaging. Glad I didn’t have to pay for this one.

Honestly not a bad beer but for the price I expected a lot more. It pours nice enough with a clean golden hue topped by a lasting frothy white head and very good lacing on my pils glass. The aroma has notes of butterscotch, pale grains, corn, and some noble hops. If the cardboardy and cloying sweet flavors were not stand offish enough, then the dash of fusel alcohol will make you say what the flock?!?! Sure there is some hops in this beer and even a note of allspice upon the finish but geez could they have not ruined this beer with poor fermentation. A chance for the brewers at A-B to finally produce a geek worthy beer and once again they forgot what good beer taste like. AVOID BECUASE OF THE PRICE!

This malt liquor pours a deep gold color from a 1 liter swing top bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, apples and sweet. A light to medium bodied Malt Liquor. Malts are apples, fruity and sweet, some grain, but mostly apples and sweetness. Hops are slightly bitter. Kind of flat carbonation. Strange this stuff tastes like a ramped up Budweiser without the carbonation. Maybe that’s where they got it from, this is the stuff they brew and dilute to get Bud. Its not a malt liquor and its not a pale lager, its sort of a bastard half breed between the two. I think I will save the rest of this for cooking, Sorry AB try again.. Think I would rather drink a bud. I wonder why I bother even trying these. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Pours golden copper with a decent white head and a toffee aroma. There is a lot more substance than the standard bud in respect to malt and hops. The flavor is sweet caramel malt with slight hop bitterness and a metallic finish.
