Pours a deep golden color with brownish hints to it. Head pours white and is about a finger thick but not very dense. Aroma is one of sweet hay, grains, lemon zest, and slightly bitter hops. Tasting the beer leads one to repeat the cycle of sweet honey, biscuity malts and zesty finish. I will say this beer was fairly dry and sharp. I liked that quality about it very much. The hop dosage is very noticable and sazzy, they are slightly funky that only sazz seems to give to a brew. Very nice and good pilsner although I could see that if you did not drink it fresh the hops and character of the beer would fade quickly, seeing as this bottle was only 2 months old it was still very much alive with potent pilsner character. I’ll give high marks to a beer that you can session and still enjoy a very impressive flavor profile, a winner for me. humulushound (160), British Columbia, Canada

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 29, 2010 Consumed substantially in Prague on holiday and at the Hotel where the famous old Budvar tanks reside. A lovely beer. Clean crisp, unpastuerised in the Czech Republic, easy to drink and completely guilt-free. A great classic pilsner.
One of the most quaffable drinks to conusme on a night out for its drinkability. Hops bang and sparkle in the mouth and the creamy texture flows through reminiscent of caramel and vanilla. I love this beer and in Prague it is awesome. There is such a difference between this beer here and in Prague it is eye-opening. It is a traditional world pilsner. If you want a genuine pilsner then go for this. Don’t be disheartened by the unfair reviews. JulienHuxley (278), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2010 Bottle. Pours clear orangeish gold with a frothy white head that lasts a little while. Aroma is predominately malty but there is a little hoppiness also with notes of caramel, honey, bisuity malt and grass, leafy hops. Flavour is crisp and very similar to the aroma but with a hint of lemon. Light bodied but not watery, this has moderate carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Very good Czech pilsner, you can see why Adolf Busch ripped it off all those years ago. sdriessen (253), Dunedin, New Zealand

Bittersweet flavours. Honey, grainyness, grass, a hint of citrus. Pretty boring but not a bad lager. These sort of Pilseners would be a hundred times better with just a little more hops!
