Bottle. Pours a pale golden colour with small white head. Very floral hop aromas. Flavours start with a little sweet malt followed some nice hop bitterness. Quite dry on the finish. Quite easy to drink.

Bottle. Pale gold, white head. Some floral notes on the nose, little that’s malty to speak of. Thin body, nice bitter finish. The lack of malt detracts from this beer’s balance. I had this side by side with Pilsner Urquell to check my prior impressions because I can see other ratings here. This still seems to me to be utterly undistinguished.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a white two finger frothy head. Has a soft musty floral hop aroma. Taste begins with a sweet maltiness which soon yields to the citrus and herbal hops. Finish is crisp, dry, and slightly bitter. A very good pilsner, yet still over hyped.

For a Pilsner, this really is the icing. The original and what most others are held against in comparison purposes. Aroma is of malt and hop. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head. Taste is great. Malt and hop in the taste with a little bitter aftertaste is just wonderful. This brings be back to Prague where I downed quite a number of these pints. Hopefully will get back there again, this time to visit the brewery.

Gold-coloured beer with a shade of copper. Has a large and tight head that evaporates quickly. The aroma has some honey, bitter hops and malt. The taste is a little watery, a little honeysih hops.

Bottle (33cl). Clear bright golden body with a medium dense white head that is short lasting. Nose of grainy pilsner malts and light citrussy hops. Flavour is medium sweet malts with an okay hop presence. It is medium bodied with an average carbonation. Pretty much an uncomplicated crisp and refreshing pilsner. Of the mainstream exported Czech lagers, this is better than Staropramen (too sweet) but it lacks the dry hop bitterness of Pilsner Urquell which remains the gold standard for this style.

It is much better than US Budweiser. Much more flavor and character. Pilsner Urquel is a much better Czech beer.

330ml bottle. Bright amber colour with a neat and tidy even white foam cap and aromas of malt and hops that dominate anything else that might be there. Clean crip taste with a slight bitterness at the end. Decent enough.
