4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 FlemishChar (224) - Virginia, USA - NOV 18, 2001
Worlds beyond the american budweiser.. this one has actually the soft, flowery aroma of Saaz hops and a gentle maltiness. Color is deep golden, not piss yellow as AB Budweiser. Not as big and flavorful as Pilsner Urquell, but still a brew of tremendous quality.

Too bad it is not available under it’s own name. A very good mainstream lager

Saaz and a bunch of it, clear but not as crisp or complex as i would like. It puts Bud(A-B) to shame, but did little else from there.

Clear, medium to dark straw color. Malt and saaz nose. Thin collar. Not a cpmplex beer by any means, but oh so soft, malty, right amount of hops, there is something special in this lager. Smoooth, refreshing and periously drinkable. and im sure would be better if i had it as fresh as some of you guys have had it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 nigos (623) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 18, 2001
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2003 Re-rate: Clean crisp malt aroma. Standard pils appearance. Good solid malty taste, medium bodied with a dry bitter hoppy after taste. A truely class pils a world away from that other nasty beer with the same name, not as good as Urqell though.
The orginal and best Budweiser. Why do the American insist on calling their piss water by the same name?

Thans to Anhauser-Busch Corporation, Budvar had to change its original marketing name to Czechvar. It is the greatest beer that ever came from the Heart of Europe - Czech Republic. GO BUDVAR!!!!! If you won’t like this, you won’t like anything.
