Very light, little flavour although on the malty side, not very hoppy, lingering hop flavour.

I cannot believe that this is the original, upon which that swill made in the US was based. This pilsner has so much flavour ... a true Czech treat ... the right amount of skunkiness, not heavy in alcohol, but heavy in flavour and body. The Czechs know how to do it!

I can tell this distinctive lager as soon as it touches my tongue. This is the best all-around lager I have tasted out of a bottle, I would recommend with most foods.

A long sunny Sunday demands a refreshing pilsner - this has everything you need. Crisp hopppy aroma; beautiful golden body with slight white head; crispness again in its dry taste.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2008 Re-rate for February 29th/08- Pours a sparkling deep gold with a frothy white cap. Floral hop aroma with excellent grassy/hay profile with lots of lemon and biscuit. Flavour profile is initially very hoppy (floral, rose petal) with just a touch of black licorice, lemon, grassy and a good biscuit/cookie sweetness. Zesty, sharp finish with excellent bitterness lingering. One of my standby beers. Original score 3.0.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2005 A pilsner with more color, body, and flavor than most others. Nice malt and hop balance. This is a great food beer when you don’t want the beer to distract. Also nice for drinking when you want a fairly standard throwback lager but still want a quality beer. Good, classic Bohemian pils, if you can get it fresh.

The Beer of Kings. Much better than our crap Bud. Similar to Pilsner Urquell, maybe not quite as good. Drank this for the first time while vacationing in Austria.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2009 Beautiful head, they seem to know how to pour here in Czech Rep. Lovely aromatic, semi-sweet flavour. Can’t seem to trace much aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel. 3 3 7 3 16
Draught. Weak hoppy aroma. Clear golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour starts off quite malty. There is a good clean sweet hoppiness. The bitterness is not very high. Very drinkable. 6 3 7 3 17

Ah the REAL Budweiser, don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it’s definitely better than our version. Crisp, with a slight bitter hop twang and nice malt finish.
