2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 yellow but topped with a solid lathering white top..aroma was of malt extract and raw cereal...real malty..cereal..grains..the best before date was 8/02..i drank it in almost 12/02..maybe it made a difference..if it did, it was probably for the better knowing my antilust for pilsners..very grainy..very buttery..malty..Tastes like a young extract brew..but its a hell of a lot better than american standards..so whatever.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
As close to perfection as it gets. All other pilseners must be judged by this one. Clean, hoppy aroma combines with a deep golden hue. Spicy, hoppy taste with an unbelievably well rounded, smooth palate. The pieces come together perfectly on this one.

The czech equivalent of Budweiser is definitely much better than the U.S. version, for me it would be a summer brew.

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
had to help up this ones ratings, the only reason i can think that is scores low is so that everyone doesnt rush out and buy this one out. it was only around here for october. stellar pisner that resonates between 5 or more flavors. what i mean by this is that, first the taste is sharp in your face - quickly disappears into undertones of another flavor - a bit later it goes back over the top with a new flavor --- back & forth for quite a while. truly a complex brew!

An unmistakeable Czech Pilsener. Strong bitterness but not unpleasant. For Pils-Lovers a must.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Appearenc nice but it’s not really blonde. A mouthful of malty flavor, finish dry. Spicy malty aftertaste. Not as sweet as e.g. Gambrinus Premium.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fine bronze gold with a medium rocky cream head. The aroma is honey and sweetish with some hopping as well/ The flavor is initially sweet and grainy and falls away fast. After some warming, malt plays a role too. Good for the style, but as my rating indicates--this isn’t my style.
