3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lovely white head, looks like a pilsner should. Nice medium hop taste and light fruit notes. Far and away ahead of its namesake.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from the Hoghead, Birmingham. Tasty, yeasty aroma. Classic Czech Gold, with a medium, loose-ish white head. The full yeasty flavour immediatly hits you, with sweet moments and bitterness moving in and out of the arena. Well balanced pilsener - miles ahead of most UK lager fare.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yet another from a gift six pack assortment. Amber body with white head. Looked typical pilsner. Aroma and flavor were characteristic of a classic pilsner. tasted like a good, standard beer. Nothing special.

apparently, i got a mildly skunked batch cuz i was not overly impressed by this beer. granted, it is better than it's american namesake but that's not saying much. i much prefer the urquell but this wasn't bad. it just had some weird funky taste that i have yet to discern.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Mild peppery herbal hop aroma with some sweetness and bit of grain. Clear golden colour with white bubbly head that dissipates fairly quickly to a fine film. Suggestion of citrus in the start of the taste gets enveloped by a mild toastiness and a slight sweetness with a gentle but lasting bitterness in the finish. Carbonation is medium-light and mouthfeel is refreshingly light. Pairs well with savoury foods or heavy dark meats. Bottle.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice golden color, small foamy head that hung around for a decent amount of time and left a small lace behind as well.Malty sweet aroma with a nice hop presence and mild fruit coming through as well.Nice smooth feel, malty and sweet with a nice lemony taste and mild hops.If this is what bud is supposed to taste like, then it's a shame that U.S. companies have screwed up the recipe so badly with there rendition of this brew.I'd have to say that if i had better access to this brew i think it would be a regular in my fridge.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle, shaker glass. Average, creamy, tight, white head is slowly diminishing and sits on a slightly hazy, deep copper body. Toasted light bread, grain malt (M); grassy, herb hops (M); hit of red and green apples. Subtle, pleasant and no green bottle skunk. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavor becomes a lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. Incredibly clean. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: quality.

Nice Czech pilsner...the way it's supposed to be done for any of those Anheuser-Busch execs reading this. A tawny golden color, reminiscent of an all malt brew. Looks a lot like a helles in color. Frothy head. Rich malty body with a fair dose of hops bitterness give this beer a distinct body that keeps you coming back for more. Nicely done.
