Thanks to beerhandy for this. Pours pale gold with a big, frothy white head. Aroma of malt, some hops and slight thiols. Tastes better than it smells, with a solid malt and hop backbone and some finishing honey. Better than I expected. This kicks the ass of American BMC shit.

Bottle. Light amber in color. Nice white head lingers and then fades slowly. Little lacing left behind. Rather delicate aromas of grass, malt and spicey hops. A little musty also. I would really like to try this one fresh!

It really stinks that this, the true Budweiser cannot use its real name in this country because it is much better than American Budweiser. Light in color, but not in taste. One of the better pilseners out there.

Thatnks to IslandHaole for this guy. Shimmering golden pour, med/small white head, active carbonation. Aroma is slightly skunky, light hops. Light sweetness, light bitterness, med/light feel. Probably the best pils I’ve ever had.

This is a classic Czech Pilsner, delicate Saaz aroma, average head, a medium bitterness that is slightly less than most. Has a clean, soft, dry finish.

This is a good Pilsener with a fine soft taste. The only thing is the foam disappeared completely.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2005 [bottle] Bright light gold with little head that quickly formed a small ring. Nice gentle noble hops aroma with clean malt. Flavour was of clean, sweet malt with subtle, gentle hops and almost no skunk. Very clean. Light to medium body with good carbonation and amost a watery aftertaste/feel. [on tap in Ceske Budejovice] Bright straw with a 1/2 cm, lasting white head with okay lacing. Crisp, very fresh, noble hops aroma and a bit of malt with caramel notes. Gentle, noble hops flavour, well-balanced with malt, but both subdued, compared to Pilsner or Gambrinus--more of a session beer. A little bit of Chinese tea flavour, but a clean finish, with no bitterness. Light body and moderate carbonation.

A nice, good drinkable beer but not a real highlight. Nice sweetish, malty aroma with hop notes. Golden color, averange head. Ligh sweet, hoppy, light dry aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2004 This beer is sort of a one-trick pony, no big winding complexity but a bit of pure malty sweetness set off with a few classic Czech hops. This beer is exactly what it’s supposed to be and kicks ass with Moravian Schnitzel and potato salad. It even travels better than Plzensky Prazdroj (Urquell) which is a super beer fresh in CZ but whos flavors tend to dis-integrate with handling and storage.
