Nicely hopped example of a decent lager, very refreshing. Pales in comparison to other Czech lagers and pilsners, but still very drinkable.

Jun 3, 2007 Bottle in at Grand Hyatt Berlin. Golden colour. Foamy head. Skunky nose. Hoppy taste. Prickly. Smooth finish. Enjoyable. Surprised I hadn’t tasted this one yet.

pours a clear gold with a foamy white head. bubbly. grassy aroma with subdued citrus notes. taste is a nice balance of hop/malt, with the citrus of the hops coming on strong at the beginning and the malt smoothing it out later on. notes of bread and lemon are there, though it’s not an insanely complex beer. super refreshing, an awesome session brew. finish is the return of the bitter hops. nice prickly carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. mid-bodied. used to drink this all the time when i lived in prague, and obviously it’s MUCH better/fresher over there, not to mention cheap as hell (about 80 cents for a .5L bottle, or $1.25 in a bar). if you buy it over here (US), i can imagine you’d be upset about the cost for what you get. but overall i think it’s an awesome brew, and a great intro for newbies.

clear gold color, mild white head dissolves into tiny white bubbles, lacy. mild grainy nose, trace of grass. flavor is mildy malty, slightly hoppy, touch of creaminess. mouthfeel is a bit fizzy, medium bodied, light bitter finish. quite enjoyable. i got used to drinking this beer in the late 90s working in moscow. i got this 6 pack at liquor depot in monee.

A good lager. Finally! Only downside is that it is sold in such small bottles mostly and can cost a bit but this actually tastes quite good.

Aroma of light hops, corn. Flavor is clean and crisp. Pretty good for what it is. It does not get me super excited, but a step up from many within its style.

Bottle served slightly chilled: pours golden in a tall pilsner glass with a fading head and a reasonable level of carbonation. I smell grass, honey and a slight breadiness. The flavour is relatively light, malted with some caramel and grass leading to an understated bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light.
