Great Czech beer and great session beer no matter where you are in the world. The taste is mild, but obvious, the colour and head are pretty spot on even for such a commercial brew. Definitely my go-to beer in Czech Republic.

@ Havregatan. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget (11:-). Sweet malty and quite bitter, hay/straw. The finish is dry, bitter and malty.

Nice golden yellow in color. Sweet malt nicely balanced with pepper hops and spiciness. Nice example.

(M.A. 05 décembre 14) (1131-290614)

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance had a clear golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head. There was some light somewhat clingy lacing after the head dissipated. The smell had some cooked corn-like/slightly graininess to it. The taste was mostly sweet with a slight toastiness to it. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body. Overall, I’m trying to figure out the difference between this and Budweiser as I’d probably have to do a blind tasting to try to figure them out.

33cl bottle at home. Clear golden with a medium white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium bitterness with some sweet tones. Malts, hops, grass and straw. A refreshing pilsner.

My bottle (11.2oz, from Cheese Traders, So. Burlington) does not say the word "Budweiser" anywhere on the label. I dont think I could distinguish between a Grolsch & this beer in a blind taste test.... I like Grolsch a lot and think both of them surpass the lame standards of the general pale-lager-limited masses here in USA. Pilseners, certain pale ales, and wheat/wit beers are my summertime faves for sure.
