Dec 9, 2007 Pours golden amber with modest head. Aromas of hops and barley with the flavour much the same. Well balanced and flavourful for a pilsener- definitely a winner.

Dec 8, 2007 This poured into a glass with a small pure white head that diminished rapidly. The aroma was of malt and hops but kinda faint. The flavor is really good. It’s like a typical earthy, skunky pils, but it has a little bite as well, which is kinda nice for this style. The taste is a little sweet also. The finish is slightly rough.

The aroma is of crisp malt and saaz and very clean.
The flavour is clean, too, with a nice crisp malt and saaz taste. Not much extravaganca, but a well brewed pils with a great summer-in-the-garden potential!

Dec 6, 2007 This beer is labeled "Czechvar Premium Lager"....12 oz bottle from 2006 beers of the world pack....golden color...smells like a cheap ass beer...looks like a cheap ass beer...and the conclusion is....foul...foul...foul...and oh this beer is foul...this beer was given to the sink to drink....

Dec 5, 2007 For some reason the label (in the USA) calls this a Czech lager, not a pilsener. No head, gold color. This is a nice, hoppy brew - those unique Saaz hops make it similar to Pilsner Urquell. Maybe there is a historical connection to Budweiser, but this is not noticable in the flavor. There is a hint of citrus in the aroma and it tingles on the tongue. The aftertaste is pleasantly hoppy. This whets the appetite for more fine examples of Czech brewing.

Nov 29, 2007 Pours golden and effervescent with a fully receeding off-white head. Aroma of herbal hops, cookie, and light hop resins. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Very nice.

Nov 25, 2007 this beer is more then the legend, with a great history the clean crisp taste still holds strong as one of the greats
