Jul 27, 2007 Updated: Jan 9, 2009500 ml bottle from the LCBO. poured golden yellow with a very small white head that quickly dissapeared. aromas: a little skunk from the green bottle, floral hops, small amount of bread malt. flavours are in perfect balance with a nice bitter finish. a good example of an everyday beer. if this came in non-green bottle id buy it more often but everytime i pick up a green bottle i know im taking a gamble. this is a great brew and i will try to enjoy it more often.

Jul 26, 2007 Less bitter than most 12’ czech beers, but enough to give balance to the fruity hop flavour that makes this just a little bit better than it’s rivals. Foam is almost legendary in it’s ability to disappear instantly, but without seriously damaging the crisp taste of a unique beer.

Jul 25, 2007 Crisp, clean, hoppy, with a smooth finish. If only American Budweiser was this good! Anheuser Busch could take a tip or two from Budvar. This is, to me, what a prototypical basic beer should be like. The fact that pale lager has completely dominated as the style of choice for Beer in North America is disheartening.

Jul 21, 2007 Green bottle from LCBO. Another one I never realized I havent rated. From memory. A golden pils with a thick white head. Aroma of grains, and unfortunate skunk (why green, guys). In mouth, a fresh grainy malt with green hops, mineral notes, a bit salty. Medium bodied. Not as good as I remembered.

Jul 19, 2007 If on tap in Prague the score would be a 3.0-3.3 score if in a brown bottle the taste would probably be 2.9-3.1.
