Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with light carb showing and a bit of filmy grayish head. Has almost no nose, but what’s there is a bit sweet and on the hay side of the pasture. Crisp light watery body, could show a bit more carb. Virtually flavorless, and pretty much without finish. This beer sneaks quietly past you like it just lifted your Rolex. nickd717 (1344), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Budweiser??? Nasty! Oh wait, this is a different kind of Budweiser. Green bottle - uh oh. Bright golden color with a small white head. Aroma of bready/grainy malt and grassy hops - no skunk detectable. Flavor similar, with a really crisp hop bite and no off-flavors. Palate somewhat light and refreshing. Not bad actually. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottled. My first time having this beer, the supposed forefather of all modern pale lagers. The influence is clear, though this is doubtlessly a better and more flavorful brew. The aroma retains that distinct skunky/rattiness though so common in cheap lagers which is a bit of a hit, and the drinkability is actually a bit low. Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle - Pours a nice bright golden (looks fairly good!). Aroma is clean with a small hint of crispyness and hops. The taste is bitter with notes of metal. I like how it is bitter without an overwhelming flavour of hops and spices, but it still tastes very well balanced. Goes down nice and, of course, extremely refreshing. A great pils. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 2, 2009 What a treat to drink this one. A rich yellow colour and a smallish head, plus a moderately hopped aroma. Taste was smooth, clean, crisp, and refreshing. A beautiful golden lager served in a 500ml mug rather than a flute. In my opinion this is the correct way to serve it as the handle helps prevent warming the beer through contact. Delightful hoppy aroma and flavour. Dry, crisp and delicious. Much superior to its unrelated namesake. beernovice39 (257), South Carolina, USA

Sweet bready malts in the aroma. Bready malts very nice in the falvour with some grassy hops also present. Crisp, somewhat dry finish. Nice.
