500 mL pour on tap at a restaurant in Prague on 6/5. Straw yellow pour with a pillowy white head. Sweet grainy aroma and flavor. Nothing offensive about it, but I’m just not huge on pilsners and this beer really didn’t change my mind on that. Decent, but nothing special either.

Huge bubbles accompany this gold pilsner. Yeast and hops in the nose, although the yeast is less prevalent in the taste, which is primarily hops. Light bitter finish

Czechvar version. A - Pours a brilliantly clear golden brass color with 1 1.5 finger white head that melts into nothing. S - Sweet grain, apple, mild grassy hops, clean yeast. T - Sweet malt, corn, mild dry grass hops, a touch of lemon on the sides of the tongue. M - Low carbonation, slick, flat finish. Not sure how old this is. Overall less than expected. The low carbonation and finish was a let down. I would love to try this on tap in Prague. Serving type: bottle 09-09-2011

Pours clear gold with a short white head....classic look. Faint green bottle skunk, grain malt, sweet aroma. Taste is bready, a little corn, malty...very soft and palatable. Fresh bottle, but a tad lightstruck.... Too bad, because otherwise it’s a very pleasant, creamy, smooth beer. Still, high marks for what I sense from it...love to have one at the source.

Good pilsener beer. Not too bitter, but with a more pronounced taste than common pilzeners. Good to drink on a hot day.

Bottle. Fizzy clear golden in colour, minimal white head. Straw, faint malt, lemony floral aroma with some minerals and a refreshing bitter taste. Light body, fair fizz, quick finish.

can. pours clear bright yellow with a frothy white head, some retention and lacing. hay, wet grass, bready and hint of biscuits, some earthy and citrusy notes. surprising fruity, light vanilla, and pale caramel sweetish finish - enjoyable. average to soft carbonation, light body - some oiliness. would take a 4-pack of that instead of other imported macro sh*t.
