COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Czechvar is the special name (editor’s note: for North America) of the world famous beer produced by the renowned brewery in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. Benefitting from over 700 years of brewing experience of the South Bohemian region, Czechvar is the golden original, acknowledged by many connoisseurs as one of the best lagers in the world.

Thans to Anhauser-Busch Corporation, Budvar had to change its original marketing name to Czechvar. It is the greatest beer that ever came from the Heart of Europe - Czech Republic. GO BUDVAR!!!!! If you won’t like this, you won’t like anything.

This hit me like a brick when I was in Czeske Budejovice with the late Prof. Helgeson- like a wonderful Euphoric brick! I have yet to taste a better beer - although be careful, it doesn’t age well, it is worth a trip to CZ just to taste the original.

I’m assuming that most of these reviews are from the bottle, not from a tap in Praha. This is simply the most delicious beer on the planet when fresh.

Beginning taste is very bitter than comes the nice smooth citrus and it finishes with a nice very bitter taste. Slightly less bitter than Pilsner Urquell due to the use of citrus. Super balanced though between bitter and sweet and thus easily my favourite czech beer.
