As close to perfection as it gets. All other pilseners must be judged by this one. Clean, hoppy aroma combines with a deep golden hue. Spicy, hoppy taste with an unbelievably well rounded, smooth palate. The pieces come together perfectly on this one.

Pours golden yellow from bottle with minimal head. Aroma of fresh grass, tangy. Malty, citrus flavor with dry, nasal aftertaste (Saaz hops?). Light-medium body with medium carbonation. Overall drinkable, could do with more head retention, not my favorite class and comparable to some of the better American light lagers.

Bottle from Sainsburys Team Valley. Nice enough standard lager - little bit of a zing on first taste but that fades pretty fast

0,5L can. Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, malty, and grainy. Flavor is very smooth, sweet, malts, grains and some vegetable notes. Finish has some mild bitterness. Light body, but not watery. Overall: not a fan of the style, but this one is really easy to drink.

Copenhagen 13/9 2014. 50 cl can from Føtex. Pours clear yellow with quickly dissipating head. Rather neutral smell - hints of bitterness. Slightly prickly mouthfeel. Pleasant long lasting bitter taste. Fine Czech pilsner.

Can from The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet grain, honey, grass and subtle banana. Taste of sweet grain and caramel malt plus grassy and spicy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. Little bitterness in the finish. A pretty good Czech Pilsner.
