4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Difficult to give an accurate description of the beer fresh out of the liquor store; as this was cellared for close to two years before I got to it.
Pours golden with a loose white head. Contains flecks like a trappist beer but that may be due to age. Sweet, fruity malts with grains blended in nicely. Lightly hopped. Thick, creamy palate is the way that a lager should taste.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle purchased in Prague. Golden pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor have some pilsner malt notes as well as a bit of grass. I also get some light fruitiness in the flavor. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle 0.33 l. Golden color. Small-medium head. No lacing. Level of aroma is low for czech pilsners. Flowery, grassy, metallic. Taste is ok. Some honey and hop notes. Also some sweetness. Overall: very balanced. Ok, but nothing special.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich dark golden colour with smooth white head. Saaz hops aroma evident immediately. Taste is smooth and rich, with maltiness becoming more pronounced as it warms. Hops bitterness is much more subdued than Pilsner Urquell, which makes this beer a bit more mellow and easier to drink.

3.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very worthy beer. It has a good clean flavour whose profile is accurately maintained from batch to batch. I get sweet malt against a tart effect probably from the yeast, good hop character well-melded, and some oily notes. A classic from a country which knows all about great beer.
