3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle poured into Leffe chalice, golden, head was tiny and faded fast, no lacing. Aroma was red cabbage and parmesan which to me suggests it was made with Saaz hops. Tasted grass and earth. The finish was slightly bitter and earthy. Mouthfull was slightly thick, fairly smooth, less carbonation than expected. Overall passable as a Czech style Pils, could have been a bit more interesting though.

Mousse épaisse et aérée. Bičre blonde limpide. Beaucoup de fines bulles. Nez amer. Entrée de bouche amčre, persistance courte et goűt d’eau présent en fin de bouche. Agréable et amertume bien dosée, pas agressive. Manque cependant de caractčre pour sortir de la banalité.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Budvar kroužkovany ležák. (krausened lager) 5%I in Budvar tulip glass at brewery in 2011 (from notes).
Same as Budvar Premium, but then wood barrel fermented.
Durable head over crystal clear body.
Aroma: like Budvar Premium but stronger. Moderate strength flavor, although rather bitter. It is very clean and fresh, with a distinctive woody flavor profile, perhaps from barrel aging.
Nice semi-dry and surprisingly (given earlier taste) hoppy (Zatek) finish.
M - light-medium body; crisp;
O - a very pleasing light (colored) Czech lager. A special edition worth seeking out.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Import, 0.5L can. It suffers from its worldwide american rival, but this one is really nice. A typical czech pils. I’ll rank it below the Pilsner urquell but not too far. Perfect in summer. One of my favourites.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap @ Draft House Westbridge. As ’yeast beer’ the pour’s light gold, creamy eggshell white head. The nose is somewhat yeasty, cake batter sweetness, a bit of honey. Taste is creamy malt, honeyed bread. Light toast. Light body, active carbonation on the palate. Overall, fine.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
0,5l can. Weak hoppy aroma. Not too malty, some sweetness strings there. Easy go, short aftertaste.
