3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Dark brown colour, big to moderate tan head. Nice aroma of slightly burnt caramel and brown bread. The flavour has also notes of caramel, fresh black bread, and burnt brown bread toast. Not very sweet. Maybe not so exceptional, but a drinkable and decent dunkel. Should not be drunk too cold.

Secondo me in bottiglia perde molto (come la sua versione chiara) perň era tutto sommato potabile

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark lager, at first the toasted malt was a bit overpowering but there is bitter chocolate and the crispness of the palate helps. A grower and ultimately quite drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark mahogany with a tan head. Earthy, malty nose. Toasted malts, some caramel, hint of sweetness and a hoppy, spicy and dry finish. It’s good and balanced, but I still prefer the lager.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Big ol’ pint. Dark brown lager. Brown, almost grey tones in the head that is rather massive for some reason. A little roasted. Hay. Just a little bit sweet. It’s not exactly full-bodied but it’s not the thinnest kind either. Just a little bit of something sweet. like syrup, on the nose. Towards the end of the pint I begin to notice some chocolaty notes.

500 ml bottle. Rated @ 24.4.2009.
Pours a dark brown colour with a small beige head. Toasted malts on the nose. Mild sweet aroma of toasted malts, caramel with mild coffee notes. Medium bodied with a surprisingly watery mouthfeel. Decent Dunkel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark brown with some red at the edges, large loose beige head. Rather fresh aroma of caramel and earthy/ grassy hops. Taste is barely sweet with chocolate and caramel. A touch of bitterness at the end with a little explosion of spiciness as well as some earth. Less sweet and much hoppier than others listed here as Dunkels I’ve had. I’ve never got the fuss about their pilsener, but this is an elegant quaffer indeed.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
02/09/2010 - 50cl bottle @ bar in Koprivnica
Clear darkbrow beer with deep red glare. Little beige rocky head. Aroma has caramel, dried fruits and some dark chocolate. Medium body and somewhat creamy texture. Taste of caramel, brown sugar and mocha. Aftertaste has coffee and toffee. Correct brew, but not very interesting.
