Dunkel, leicht rötlich. Sehr malzige Aromen, Kaffee. Geschmacklich ebenfalls stark malzbetont. Erdig. Im Abgang tritt Bitterkeit hervor.

Clean, malty and refreshing. A good chugger for those who are thirsty and like a rich flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well this is an interesting dark lager. It features an earthy aroma with maybe some sweet caramel notes. Taste is a little musty with roasted malt flavors and some sweet bitterness in the finish. Aftertaste is rather earthy and not too clean. Good overall, but what throws me off is how watery the body of this beer comes across. Not Czechoslovakia's finest brew, but an honorable mention. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Bootle from Tesco. Chestnut colour with frothy tan head. Flavours of caramel, a touch of chocolate and some roasty notes before quite a sweet finish. This is nice and refreshing and goes down easily. A very nice dunkel.

Beautifully preseted beers. Wonderful head and lacing. Pallate was bland in comparison to overall presentation of beer.

Appearance: Clear dark ruby/brown with 2 finger thick ivory/tan head. Aroma: Hint of chocolate, pepper, hay, roast malts, slightly smoky, toast, cold coffee and spicy. Taste: Low/medium sweetness and bitterness, medium sourness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light body, prickly carbonation, astringent lingering malty, spicy, toasty and bitter cocoa like finish. Comments: Lovely and glass lace.

Bottle at home. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a medium, light brown head. Malty aroma with rye bread, dried fruit, leather, wood and some chocolate. The flavour has more roasted malt and coffee, and some dried fruit and cola. Has a smooth and soft mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A decent and easy-drinking dunkel.

Bottle on the train from Inverness to Hereford, thanks to Simon C for the pour, 21/10/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that dissipates to pondlife. Nose is dark malt, toffee, woody, nutty, earthy tones. Taste comprises bready malts, dark toffee, brown bread, brown sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty finish. Decent dunkel.

Scrapersnbeer (1439) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 27, 2013
Aroma of molasses and cocoa mulch. Transparent brown with big, quick fading head. Dirty, bittersweet chocolate flavor. Lighter body, very smooth and refreshing so far as dark lagers go. Good Czech session beer.

Bottle. Aroma is sweet syrupy caramel. Nothing more. Light light coffee. Clear dark ruby-brown colour. Taste is lightly soapy, otherwise quite balanced coffee with caramel. Simple though, and not very enjoyable. Average industrial beer.
