Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

Clear darkbrow beer with deep red glare. Little beige rocky head. Aroma has caramel, dried fruits and some dark chocolate. Medium body and somewhat creamy texture. Taste of caramel, brown sugar and mocha. Aftertaste has coffee and toffee. Correct brew, but not very interesting.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2016 Had at several bars in Prague. Lovely dark lager. Coffee flavors. Mineral and rich, but very very drinkable. A favorite of the missus. Serving: Tap

No aroma at all. this isn’t so good. Quite roasty, but with a strong nutty character as well as tasting a bit buttery. Finish is thin. Very disappointed with this. It may have some coffee notes as well. On tap at a bar in Prague.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown with a creamy tan head that lasts ages. Aroma is very malty with notes of caramel and bread. Flavour is similar but a bit more roasted and has some dark fruit undertones. Quite dry mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a mildly bitter finish. Nice and sessionable.

Bought in the supermarket. Pours dark brown with thin head. Smells like brown bread, raisins and caramel. Light body, a bit watery. Balanced in taste, its bitterness was a nice surprise. the wrap, the best.

It didn’t fell or seemed or tasted quite like a dunkel...It was more like a stout,a dry stout...Yet,it was absolutely enjoyable, easy to drink.

Bottle. Dark brown, fine head. Burnt pinewood aroma, in a good way. The taste has cocoa, roasted malts, prunes and some nuttiness in it. Smooth like a stout.

Bottle from an "Auchan", Bp. Nice appearanced dunkel with a dark brown/ruby colour and beige, creamy and laceing head on its top. The smell is of toffee and grass. A smooth mouthfeel escorts its sweet and toffee-liked flavour. The aroma is of caramell malt and pleasant grassy/spicy hops with light yeasty undertones in the back. The finish is toasty, spicy and light dry. Very enjoyable.

On tap at U Medvidku, Prague on 11 July 2010. Crystal clear deep red-black with thick lowering creamy foam head giving some frothy lacing. Caramel malt in aroma; some citric notes and a beautiful blend of herb, grass and spice plays equally on the tastebuds. A bitter kick occurs when taking larger sips or gulps. This bitterness rests on the roof of the mouth and lingers in what I found to be a satisfying finish. Zingy mouthfeel. A very pleasant tmavý indeer, and incredibly easy drinking. UK drinkers may think of Goachers’ Mild on its best form at Maidstone.
