Prémiový tmavý ležák doplňuje tradiční nabídku piva z pivovaru Budějovický Budvar, n. p. od roku 2004. Je vyroben stejným postupem jako originální světlý ležák, za použití nejvybranějšího žateckého chmele, moravského sladu, vody čerpané ze 300 m hlubokých artéských studní a tří druhů speciálních barevných ječných sladů: mnichovského, karamelového a praženého.

Charakterizuje jej výrazně tmavá barva, suchá, jemně hořká karamelová chuť bez dominance sladkosti. Vůně je delikátní po praženém sladu.

Pours a cola color with a small tan head. The nose is fruit, brown sugar. The taste is roasty, a little slow, brown sugar, fruit ending dry. Light+in body with a touch less than average carbonation. The nose isn’t big but the flavor is.

a) Schöne schwarz-rötliche Farbe, beiger Schaum.

b) Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing. Smooth malty nose, nice malty roasty start. The mainpart is nice roasted, very dry, nice malty bitter. On the tongue remains a nice malty dry aroma with hints of liquorice and roasted malt.

0,5l on Tap at Dvoracky. Dunkles Bier mit beiger Schaumkrone. Riecht angenehm nach Röstmalzen. Schmeckt nach Röstmalzen; nuancen von Nüssen und Kaffee. Süffig!

Weak roasted-malt aroma, strong carbonisation level. Nice hints of coffee and chocolate, malty, roasted, nice ballance and oily moutfeel afterwards. Decent brew.

330ml bottle from the duty free shop at Vaalimaa border station. Very dark brown colour, medium frothy, mostly lasting tan head, good lacing. Moderately malty roasty aroma of bread and nuts with notes of coffee and chocolate with light herbal hops and some hints of red berries. Taste is initially moderately sweet, slightly bitter and slightly acidic, turning into a longish moderately bitter finish with a burned feel. Light to medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. A fairly tasty Tmavy, fair bit better than I remembered.
