COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Obfita i dosyć gęsta, beżowa piana. Brązowe, klarowne piwo. Lacing. W aromacie kawa i trochę jakiejś słodyczy. Średnie nagazowanie. Świetna, wyraźna goryczka - pierwszy raz spotykam taką w tmavym. Piwo średnio pełne, wydaje się dosyć gładkie. W smaku raczej wytrawne. Kawa, orzechowe, troszkę karmelu. Smak niby fajny, ale mało intensywny.

500ml bottle. Very dark brown pour with a creamy smooth two finger tan head. Aroma is very smoky, with sweet fruity malts. Taste is again very smoky, roasted malt, caramel, bit of coffee maybe. Leaves a smoky aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. Too much smokiness for my liking but otherwise good.

11.2 oz single bottle from Wilbur’s Total Beverage. Dark brown appearance with a tan head. Skunky, dark malty lager with moderate sweetness. Average body with a smooth, creamy feel. Drinkable.

Dark ruby, almost black pour with medim beige head. Smell is mostly roasted malts and smoke. Medium body with subtle carbonation. Texture is between watery and oily. Bittersweet taste. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and some nuts. Smoked aftertaste. Overall, it’s a nice beer. Nothing special, but tasty and refreshing.

0,5l can. Dark brown colour with medium lasting brown head. Aroma: caramel, light coffee. Taste: sweet malty start with sour pale lager caracters. Hiding light bitterness. Quite watery. Light body with lively carbonation. Watery average finish. Maybe the bottled version is better.

Bottle bought in BC Liquor store. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is dark fruits, hops, roasted malt, notes of chocolate. Body is very light (like it should be). In the taste: roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, notes of dark fruits and roasted coffee. Burnt malt bitterness aftertaste. Very good, classic Czech lezak.

Found in a different label with the Czechvar Dark predominant. A dark lager that was smooth. Nothing outstanding but I found it enjoyable. Looked like a stout but the head didn’t stay around long.
