Bought it in the Trink Gut in Nordhorn for only € 0,70 a bottle, named Budvar Premium Dark Lager. Dark brown color, creamy head. Roasted malt and grass in the aroma. Coffee, roast, apple and a grassy hopbitterness in the flavor. Also caramel. Thinnish, but certainly has complexity. Very well made dunkel.

Maria (10176) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2008
Dark mahogany with a red hue and a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar and a suitable, slightly citrussy, bitterness in the finish, and at the end also slightly dry. It’s smooth, mellow and pleasant.

Bottle on the train from Inverness to Hereford, thanks to Simon C for the pour, 21/10/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that dissipates to pondlife. Nose is dark malt, toffee, woody, nutty, earthy tones. Taste comprises bready malts, dark toffee, brown bread, brown sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty finish. Decent dunkel.

500ml bottle. Dark reddy brown, rich froth for a head. Roasty and hoppy aroma. Wickedly bitter hoppy taste fights with punchy dark burnt malt taste for your attention. Don’t get me wrong, this is a well balanced fight. Anyway neither wins until the end of the aftertaste, as the bitterness survives longer. What’s this? The burnt malt wants a rematch?...

On tap at "U obory", Jabkenice: Very dark amber coloured, medium sized nice lacing head; clean malty aroma with a tinge of molasses, lively caronation; slightly sweetish, distinctive malty taste; drier, bitter aftertaste (with a tinge of chocolate); very well balanced between maltiness and bitterness; quite full bodied. A very good classical Bohemian Dunkel !
