Pours deep brown and ruby red with a small head. Smells malty roasty with lots of caramel and chocolate. Starts bitter malty roasty, with lots of coffee and burnt malts. Middle part is also malty bitter and roasty, paired with some dark chocolate. Goes into a chocolatey finish with some burnt malts and roasted coffee.

Flasche 33cl. Dunkles rotbraun mit dichtem, wolkenartigem Schaum. Kräftige Röst- und Karamellaromen steigen direkt in die Nase, dabei bleibt der Antrunk weich und süffig. Erfrischend. Leider kommen aufgrund der Röstaromen die feinen Noten des Saazer Hopfens nicht wirklich zum Tragen. Auch das Pasteurisieren mindert den Gesamteindruck.

smell of roasted malts. Dark brown colour, medium high beige head. Aroma of malts, roast, coal and burnt grain. Slightly bitter. Dry texture and aftertaste of ashes. Flat but plentiful carbon.

Bottle. Dark brown with reddish tinge, beige foamy head, roasted malt aroma, slightly bitter smoky taste, average carbonation, abrupt finish. Very good beer.

50 cl. dåse. 4,7%. Meget mørk øl, med flot Hvidt skum. Dette er tjekkisk øl i topklasse efter min smag.

Very dark beer, with a medium beige head. Not really a strong smell, just some hints of coffee malts. Taste is coffee and wood, but very short, and a light body. Disappointing for me.

Very dark brown, almost black colour, beige foam.
The aroma is sweet malty with caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty, coffe, a nice dry bitter finish. body is little thin, medium carbonates.
Dark, delicious, and refreshing.
Very drinkable dark lager!

Bottle from Pedmore Wines, Stourbridge. Dark brown. Malty coffee and syrup aroma. Tastes nutty and wooden with a disappointingly short finish. Nice in the glass; not so nice on the sofa or my top. Oops.

butelka, cuemne, brunatna pianka, dużo pianki, która zostawia długo fajny osad na ściankach kufla; trochę podobne do guinessa, czuć mocno palony słód a na końcu gorycz, dobre ale nie mógłbym wypić więcej niż 1.
