The convenience and novelty of the idea is brilliant. Unfortunately, being a big American company, the delivery is a bit missing. Clamato? Why not V8? Are we Canadian? I like gin and tonic in a can, I like whiskey and water in a can. I don’t like crappy rice beer with clamato in a can. I do love an occasional red beer, but these two gems joined at the hip are not either of the ingredients I use. NJBeerman013 (771), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

We were in agreement, this stuff is just horrible. I got my whole portion down, he couldn’t get passed a few sips. Blahhh. Next EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA

Now, I like clamato, and I’ve consumed many a bloody caesar (= bloody mary except using clamato) in my day. But this one was vile. I had a couple of sips then drain pour. watchnerd (22), San Mateo, California, USA

If you like red eyes, you might like this (although a friend of mine who likes red eyes didn’t). You can’t really think of it as beer, per se, more like a Clamato based cocktail in a can. Actually pretty refreshing. A good morning drink en lieu of a mimosa or bloody mary. You can chug it like Gatorade, too. Better than regular Bud. General66 (168), Streator, Illinois, USA

Poured a pale pink color with a small white head that disappeared quickly. Contained a lot of carbonation. It almost looked like a strawberry soda... I actually wish it was. It smelled vulgar with hints of tomato and vegetables. The taste was truly horrible... a mix of tomato, clam, and vegetables. To be fair, I do not like tomatoes or clams so my rating is probably very biased. However, I found this to be a horrible experience. It’s like beer & dinner all in one, in a beer sense. The balance of clamato to bud is somewhere 50-60 percent, either way. you can taste the clam too. It’s great. Anyway, it’s refreshing & it has that juice pick up to it which is good if you plan on drinking a few and not falling asleep at your bar stool. The acidity doesn’t ever become a factor - the carbonation is not overwhelming. This is a mellow, smooth combo. It is well balanced. Hope Chelada is a hit, so I can pick it up at my nearest beer seller. Cheers! SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA

Pours a hazy red from the icy cold 16oz. can. A bubbly pink head forms and fades fast. The nose is bloody mary with some citrus in the background. Watery and distant. On first drink, I think my gag reflex was activated as I nearly spit it out. It tastes like a watered-down, carbonated bloody mary. And I like bloody marys, but the combination of co2, tomato flavoring, corny beer and lemon was sickening. How anyone could ever suffer through a whole can of this is WAAAAY beyond me. This is without a doubt the most disgusting "beer" that I have ever encountered. Stay away. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA

I just had to try it so I picked it up on the way to a post PP Strong Ale Fest tasting. If you like Clamato or V-8 you’ll like this because thats what it tastes like. It poured a pale pink color and looks like watered down tomato juice. Smells like watered down juice as well. The flavor also had black pepper notes in it.
