24ox Can at home ... It looks peachy ... soft tomatoes ... cheep pasta sauce nose ... bloody mary ... little salty ... little Worcester sause again ... little too heavy on the tomato.

I can see this is getting pretty lousy ratings - so don’t throw things at me, please, but I liked it, and consider it to be one of Anheuser Busch’s best products. It is based on a Mexican way of enjoying beer. I have tried lagers before with hot sauce and lime and salt, without enjoying them very much, but the addition of clam juice and tomato makes it a lot better. The salmon-coral color gives it a look like soda pop or guava juice, and the head disappers immediately. There is a hint of tomato in the mainstream lager aroma. This is a salty, tomato dominated beverage that seems more like a Bloody Mary than a beer, but the flavor is surprisingly good - tomato sweetness and citrus plus a little hot sauce mixed with mild lager. The aftertaste is spicy with a touch of fish. This makes a nice change of pace brew.

I like this stuff. Mmmmmm.....sometimes when my tongue needs some flavor to break things up I’ll have a few of these. The salty, tangy, beer mix is quite tasty plus you can add Tabasco, vodka, spices to jazz it up. Plus its works great for breakfast to help get the taste buds activated for the day (a party day...or after a party day). Don’t rely on this EVER to substitute a true brew, but when you need a "food beer" glug a few and enjoy.

If your expecting this beer to turn you over by looking and smelling like tomato, spices, and seafood, but tasting like an imperial stout, why are you rating this beer? The idea comes from a country that covers sour candy, watermelon, and assorted other things in chili powder. You have to have that palate to appreciate this beer. Good effort on the part of Budweiser to make a chelada concoction. If you like a good bloody mary, you might like this beer, but not as a replacement.

[24floz can, courtesy of cgarvieuk] Opaque pinkish-red pour, the colour of a rhubarb smoothie. Big carbonation in evidence, leads only to a thin lacing on the glass however. Faint tomato aroma, something spicy, slight tanginess on the nose. Touch of the Dolmio about it. Tomato dominates the flavour. Some spiky Worcestershire sauce heat at the end. No trace of beer involved – but then it is Budweiser – if you were rating it as such, it scores pretty lowly. But as a drink, I quite liked it. Slightly spicy, peppery tomato juice – like drinking a virgin Bloody Mary. Nothing wrong with that. Tough to rate though, as this is a beer-based site and it doesn’t taste of beer in any way – but I’m going to score it how I enjoyed it, and I’d have another, probably [03122011]

Good stuff. I hate beer but the Bud Light Chelada rocks. Make it more available and how about adding packaging to the big cans for ease of purchase and carry out.

Love it! But then, I’ve always liked Clamato Juice. Tangy flavor with the beer kick.

24 oz can poured pink and red with no head. Big tomato aroma. Tasted like a V* bloody mary. Could use some celery salt. Not a bad flavor, but not what I would call a beer. No discernible typical bud flavor.

24 oz. can. I saw this in the store a couple of weeks ago and picked one up to enjoy during a football game. So, today is the day and out it came. Pours a cloudy watermelon pink with a fizzy, large-bubbled pink head that disappeared before the first sip. The aroma is very mild clamato juice (tomato, clams and some black pepper) and not much else. The flavor is again mostly clamato, although it is a bit stronger than in the aroma. I like clamato juice, so this is not an unpleasant beer for me. This is not something I would drink every day, and I probably won’t be buying another can anytime soon, but it is not foul or horrid either.
