RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA May 27, 2008 Updated: Jun 1, 2008 24 oz can Budweiser and Clamato juice sounds like a bad hangover cure. Has a briney, salty aroma I didn’t particularly like. Pours a pinkish color, that might look OK for a punch bowl, but just comes across as weird in a beer glass. I actually liked the spicey kick in the beer’s finish, and well, the taste is not as dreadful as I expected. Some sort of small chunks floated around in this, but I did like the way the fizzy carbination tickled the tongue. Not the worst beer I’ve ever had, but I’m probably not going to finish the can next to my computer. I can say I’ve eaten garlic ice cream, and now Chelada.
NeoHippie2 (145), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jan 7, 2009 No...no...no no no no no no no NO!!!!!! This was awful. I dont know why I even bothered to try this after trying the bud light version. Drain pour after the first sip. Dont waste your time. hophead75 (1768), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Dec 29, 2008 Golden in color with some pink hues. Aroma of salt, briny clams, tomato, and budweiser. Taste: light lager with salt, tomato, clams. yum-o. scooterbub (257), Lander, Wyoming, USA Dec 28, 2008 Can. Pours a light red with a thin head. Taste is of tomato, clam, lemon, salt and spice. The Budweiser flavors are also there. Similar aroma. Does not taste half bad, but is over priced. I am just not into tomato or clamato juice and beer. If I was, I would probably rate it a bit higher. popery (36), San Francisco, California, USA Dec 22, 2008 Horrible. Just horrible. It looks like ruby red grapefruit juice. Zero head. Murky liquid with frightening floaties lurking in the depths. The aroma is mostly rotting vegetable matter with a light smack of clam. The flavor is fairly putrid. I have never had clamato, but I do like V8. This is gross. I am not sure what else to say about it. Well, I will say that Bud Chelada does not exactly belong on the same scale as a normal beer. It is not really possible to judge the brewing quality because it is very difficult to taste the beer. What I can judge is that the combination of this beer, Clamato, lime and salt is horrible.
