A smooth, light golden lager with 55 calories and the crisp, clean finish of Budweiser Select. Select 55 is brewed with caramel malts and a blend of imported and domestic hopping. Select 55 has a light golden color and offers aroma notes of toasted malt and subtle hopping.

The malt character is barely detectable and Iím left wondering, did the brewer use malt. But alas, a small amount of malt has been used and this beer arguable has the cheapest grain bill of any brew on the planet. The color is pale golden yellow and un-cloudy...perhaps similar to a healthy urine specimen. Just a bit of hop bite, and next to the grain bill, the hop bill must be very inexpensive. When Iíve just knocked out a hot, dusty 20-mile trail run, this is my go-to beverage for re-hydration.

It is what it says it is. Super light beer. Donít know how they get the calories so low, but it does explain the watered down taste.

Had at a party, no aroma, no taste, no anything; if Iím reaching there is a faint twang of sweet corn and a bite from the carbonation. Itís not offensive, itís not terrible, but I have no idea why you would actually WANT to buy this; even if you on a diey just drink water, will get you about as drunk as this stuff.

Bottle after tennis. I guess it is nice to have after exercise and I donít expect much for the calories..it really was pretty bad.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Bland everything - maybe just a hint of light fruit sweetness. Terrible. At least I have it ticked now.

One of the better ultra lite beers. Much more taste than 64 and with 9 less calories. Would not buy it but if thatís all there is to drink then iím still drinking.

I expected little and it met my expectations. Of the lo-carb brews, this would be my last choice. Itís not offensive, itís not ANYTHING. The only reason I keep this style in the house is to quench my thirst before moving on to a more satisfying and more expensive preference.

Tastes like water with a splash of beer in it.... but if you like to volume drink on day long parties etc... This is my go to... You get used to it and can drink 50 in a day... Yay

Rating this one for what it is, a very low calorie beer substitute, I have to give the A.B. boys a hand. There is no aroma but there is a subtle hint of some sort of flavor, not sure what it is, but its there. As far as ultra low calorie alcoholic beverages go, this is one of the better ones. Not a beer loverís drink but it has itís own niche.

Bottle. Gold color. Not much head. Not much aroma. Very watery flavor. Good on a hot day.
