Select 55 Calories is the best tasting light beer out there. At only 55 calories it has just enough beer taste (and alcohol) to satisfy me. Sure, I have had more robust/malty tasting beers (with significantly higher calories) but even they get kind of "regular tasting" after a while. Since I like to have two beers each day with my dinner after a long day, Select 55 is the right choice for me.

Yep, a clear bottle. Smell is Ok, perhaps some tartness in the olfactory. Very light flavor with lots of sizzling carbonation. Very light indeed. I kinda liked the bud select as a lager but perhaps this is a little too light. Not bad tho, goes down very easy. Almost like soda water to an extent. At 2.4%, I bet you could drink this all day and not catch a buzz. A true sessional beer if you can put up with the lack of personality in the flavor. I truely am surprized that this is less than 3%! It does seem to have more bite than many other light beers. Virtually no aftertaste except for watered down pale lager. Enjoyable to an extent and it is rather refreshing for a change. A better tasting beer than most other lights.

Pale. Crisp, refreshing, rice. Not bad. For 55 calories it’s much better caloric value then the other offerings from BMC.

Clear pale yellow, short lived thin white head. No lacing. Smell...carbon dioxide and a whiff of malt, It’s a diet beer. It tastes like nothing...seltzer water without the sodium. It’s nice and bubbly. Refreshing like club soda

Yum! Beer-flavored selzer water! :-) It fits into a low-carb diet with no guilt, has no artificial sweeteners, has nice carbonation and no bitter aftertaste. It isn’t really beer, but its a great kind-of-beer substitute for those of us geezers who might have digestive, blood sugar or other dietary issues that prevent us from knocking back a few on a regular basis. My ratings are low because although the aroma, appearance, taste and palate are all just pleasant, there simply isn’t MUCH of them when compared to regular beer. That being said, I have a couple every day and am thrilled to have a product that doesn’t upset my...diet...blood sugar...GI tract...or get me wasted in front of my kids. :-)

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks for the tick! Pours light gold with very little white head. Noble hop aroma. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Quite grainy. Sort of clean. There’s some grassiness, but not much bitter in the end. Better than a sugar coke.

From the 12 fl. oz. can marked 07MAY10-WF09. It pours slightly golden yellow with filtered cleanliness and virtually no head. The aroma has a thin hoppiness with rice adjuncts and a surprising albeit vague pine sensation. The mouthfeel is fairly good for a light beer and not terribly watered down. The taste has a weak maltiness with a thin hopped blanket. But it goes down very fast. When look at objectively, it was better than anticipated and if I had been given it blindly I might not have known it was a Budweiser product.

Can at Tj’s. On sale for 75 cents, how could I turn it down. Was tempted to drink this as a " road soda" but there are way too many cops in chapel hill today because of the football game. Pours clear golden with a frothy (and loud) white head and that dissipates rapidly. Wow, all that head gone so fast. :( Nose is very clean with some light earwax (not just reserved for shit beers, i’ve smelled earwax in masala mama), light toasted malt, light caramel malt, light plastic. Flavor is hardly reminiscent of beer. Super light, as expected, notes of plastic, lemon rind, water.
