Okay, before you get to thinking that I have no taste in beer... My rating really reflects my opinion of this beer as compared to its peers (Coors Light, Miller Light, etc.) This is my lawnmower beer of choice. Don’t know what it is. I hate regular Bud and would rather dehydrate than put it to my lips. That said, Select is what I drink when I have to operate heavy machinery or for some other reason can’t drink a real beer. Even the AB Brewmaster can’t explain it. Best answer he could give me is a high malt content in Select.

Clear yellow, foamy white head. The smell is grainy, weak, rice, and weak. The taste is basically water with some corn and rice mix. Weak. Cold and goes down easy.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 12 oz bottle pours a gold color with a white head. Another example of the big beer companies flavorless beers.

Smells and tastes of nothing, looks like piss mixed with apple juice and club soda. Terrible.

Aroma of corn, light hay, some apple, and light floral hops. Appearance is gold with white head. Flavor of water, sweet corn and virtually no finish. Palate was bubbly and a little fizzy. Perhaps the closest thing to water I have ever tasted from a beer bottle; boring but unoffensive. My score reflects a lack of "beer" experience from this beer, not that it tastes bad- it would need a taste at all to offend!

Draft in a weizen glass - pours a slightly golden yellow with no head. Nose is yeast and rice. Taste is a bit more bitter than the regular flavored bud. Very watery and easy to drink, but so light on flavor.

Poured a clear gold with good carbonation. Minimal taste but not terrible. An easy drinking beer.
