Clear and light body. Sugar, mould, grass, basement. Lager that’s bitter and dry but without any real taste at all. Or rather: there’s taste but without being sweet or bitter or sour or salty. Almost like it’s water and chemicals only. Ah well, had to try it at least once on my FL trip.

G: Poured into a pint glass. A: Pale and straw-colored, with quite a bit of white head. Head retention is not high. S: Mostly grainy, although my nose tells me that there are some hops in there somewhere. T: Pretty good tasting for the style. There is some malt; certainly more than is typical of the style. The residual adjunct is there of course. M: Light mouthfeel, although pretty heavy for an adjunct. Decent amount of carbonation--not severely over-carbonated like Bud Light. D: As far as I’m concerned, by far the best of the macros, which doesn’t say much. Luckily there’s Yuengling on the East Coast for desperate situations.

Have not had a real Bud in years. Had this in Muskogee, OK, as there was not much choice at the steak house. Drank from mason jar, real classy for here I guess. Pours light golden color with a big foamy head that lasts quite well and some lacing. Faint malt and grain aroma. Not a lot going on here. Mild malt and grain taste, slight sweetness with a clean finish. Light body, quite smooth. Crisp & refreshing. Nice beer for the style. Easy drinker, best when served cold. Not as bad as some people advocate. A least it is a real beer and not some watered down light beer.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2011 Tasted on tap in St. Louis, Missouri. Pale, slightly grainy, light malty aroma with little hops in the aroma. Bland rice, pale malty flavor (though more than Bud Light). One of the easier American macros to drink but overall just boring and a waste of time.
