COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed and sold since 1876, "The King of Beers" is the largest-selling beer in the world. Budweiser has been the world’s best-selling beer since 1957, and is distributed in more than 70 countries. Budweiser leads the U.S. Premium beer category, outselling all other domestic premium beers combined. In fact, one in almost every five beers sold in the United States today is a Budweiser.
"We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price."
"Brewed with 100% natural ingredients. We use only the finest hops, barley malt, rice, yeast and water. We craft and age Budweiser using time-honoured brewing methods."

Bottle. Watery. Caramel, rice and cereal. Very weak hop. Thin white head, pale gold body. Light bodied. Tinge of bitterness. Sweet. watery finish. Nothing there. My girlfriend’s favourite beer, and she usually hates the stuff! This is because it tastes like beer watered down to within an inch of its life.

I heard a rumor that this is called the King of Beers because they had to shorten it somehow from "King of Beers for Americans who have ruined their palate by drinking Coke since they were 3 and would rather taste nothing than taste something that is not sugary sweet". Apparently that wouldn’t fit on the bottle. Perfect for those who scoff at guys drinking Bud Light and say "I only drink real beer, give me a Budweiser".

Slightly more taste than its light brother, but still lacking in bold flavor and an appealing smell. But "Hey", at least it has bubbles.

Pale gold in color. Nice easy drinking brew, somewhat light on the body but not undrinkable, just basic and pleasant.

Bottle: Have to rate it some day… Boring beer! No real taste, just a slight hint of malts, but very light. Like a well balanced mix of water and malts, though it’s not tasty… Taste is very very light, no sugars, no hops (just a very very very light hint of some bitterness), no spices no hints of anything… Story on the label is totally contrary.

This beer is supposed to be the king of beers?? I’m not so sure. Tastes ok, but it sure gave me a headache the next day. I’d pass on this one honestly.

From a 355ml bottle on 19/6/2010. Thought I’d give this a try so that I’m not just rating stuff that I expect to be good. Has a very faint sweet malt grain aroma. Taste wise, it’s just plain sweet, with the tiniest of hop finishes at the end. The most entertaining thing about it is the blurb on the bottle which talks about how they know of no other beer which costs so much to brew and age, and that the ageing process produces a result found in no other beer at any price. You’d be hard pressed to find a beer which is more ordinary than this.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2010 I just can’t believe two beers that have nothing to do with each other are being produced under the same brand name. For Shame.Watery, with a mix of rice flavour that smells a loot like urine.Way below average.
