1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, - NOV 26, 2004
Oct, 2002: Many years ago when I was young, spotty and constantly randy, I had a Bud because it said ’beer’. Not one to enjoy lagers I was quite stunned that this was called a beer. I couldn’t finish it. I never drank a Bud again. Until today. I was curious. This is the most famous beer in the world - the most popular beer in the world - and the one with more contempt poured on it’s little crowned head than any other beer in the world. It’s the beer used as a yardstick for bad beer - ’The Budweiser of Russia’, ’As bland as a Bud’, ’Almost as bad as a Bud - if that’s possible!’, etc. I was obviously curious. It had been many years since I’d had that other Bud. A distant memory remained, but the memory can play tricks. Also, I had drunk a number of lagers or blonde beers since then and found that a few were quite palatable. I was curious. The colour is not encouraging - the urine sample of an anaemic ant on it’s death bed would produce something with more body. Anyway, the nose, the smell, the aroma is disappointing. There’s nothing there. It’s not bad, it’s not good. It’s just not there. But the taste was rather surprising. Honey, butter, fresh grass, smooth, creamy, a fizz, quite pleasant... Lacking distinctive character, maybe... or maybe not. I reckon I could tell a Bud from a Corona or a Moosehead. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t think this is a class act. I don’t even think it reaches the heights of an average beer. But it aint a dog. It’s more of a bitch, and when you’re desperate... Well, go for it behind closed doors and don’t tell the neighbours. Aug, 2003:I was just given this in a customer’s house. I had difficulty finishing it. I wasn’t paying attention to the butter flavours, I was just struggling to get it down. [1.2]
Apr, 2004:Light lemon colour. Faint malt and corn aroma. Some sweetness. Honey, vanilla, fresh grass, honeysuckle. Vanishes quickly. Watery texture. [1.5]

Thin, watery and characterless. Can be used as a substitute for Mexican beers.

There’s nothing wrong with the taste of this beer, it’s big problem is that it doesn’t have much flavor. It is light and watery, but as far as the macro brews go, this is one of the better lagers. I would say this is a good reliable beer for the people that don’t really enjoy beer.
1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 WeissGary (22) - Arbroath, SCOTLAND - MAY 22, 2012
Just your basic so called "premium lager"; watery, tasteless and with no defining aspects... perhaps the only redeeming factor of Budweiser over it’s similar lagers is that it is brown bottled and at least has a bottling date... for that reason I would likely pick this up over say Stella or Miller if I had to.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average frothy white head. Flat typical pale lager "aroma". Taste is different from water. Next, please.

I can’t believe I am only just now rating Bud. Well, there isn’t much to say that others haven’t. It’s a light golden with a thin white head. I really can’t smell anything. Taste is grainy, a little grassy and just a little hoppy. Not very good at all, but then again...to all the haters...there are some REALLY bad beers out there. This one is only mediocre. Really pretty decent for working on the car, mowing the lawn, etc.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Chin0 (43) - Lomas de Zamora, ARGENTINA - MAY 17, 2012
Leve aroma a malta. Poca espuma, muy poco persistente. Cerveza de color pajizo muy clara. Amargor casi nulo y final con tendencia seca. Suave

Last time I let my wifes friends pick the bar! Fizzy yellow pour with little head. Slightly more prominent in taste than aroma, but that’s hardly a win. Rice, corn water, and grass in both the aroma and the flavor. Watery mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. My sister in law (who loves San Miguel beer) drank under half a glass before switching to Rum and Cokes.
