Thanks Lianna, I poured this into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer. The smell had a grassy sort of bittered caramel edge to a light nutty bitter hoppy aspect. The taste was somewhat sweet but had a decent bitter edge of the malts. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but still good for the style and for me. Lingering bitter grassy and grainy finish. Overall, decent ESB, could probably do this again.

Sort of plain, nice color and a good aftertaste but I'm more an IPA guy so it didn't do much for me. They had 3 different types on draft so figured I'd try it out ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at brewery. Underwhelming to offputting. Super bitter in a very bad "whats happening in my mouth" sort of way. Perhaps a skunked batch, Iíll try it again as their other brews are O.K. But if itís the same Iím sure Iíll never risk my hard earned cash on their brews again. Sorry guys, fix 1836.

Location: Draft at Yia Yia Maryís, 1/15/14

Aroma: The nose is caramel and bready malts with some fruity notes and a little earth
Appearance: This one pours a copper-orange color with a small foam of head
Flavor: Balanced, similar to the nose component-wise light-mid sweet and light bitter
Palate: The body is light-medium, drinkable and clean enough, with average-plus carbonation
Overall Impression: This is a drinkable enough ESB. I can see why this works well at non-craftcentric restaurants like this one, as it is a good entry micro, and I mean that as a compliment.

Cloudy amber. Blanketous white head. Malty aroma and even maltier taste with a strong bitter finish leaving hints of toffee. Pretty darn good, but the more bitters you drink, the better they get. Its like fine wine gets better with time. I get better at drinking bitters with time.
