Draft at hay merchant, Houston. Aroma is a little astringent, with not much cedar. Flavor is a little sweet, with some cedar coming through. Not as good as cigar city’s humidor IPA, but still solid.

Bleeding copper color with a lasting white head. Aroma has faint cedar and floral hops. Palate is too smooth as is the taste. Just a hint of fruitiness. All the bitterness comes on the finish with some dryness from the cedar aging.

Dogbrick (7244) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 27, 2013
On draught at Hay Merchant. The beer is a cloudy dark amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of ripe fruit, malt and wood. Medium to full body with flavors of piney hops, fruit and subtle cedar. The finish is moderately bitter with an earthy and piney hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Cloudy amber. Big off-white head. Heavy lacing. Lots of citrus but cedar is quite mild. Good balance; sweet with pleasant bitterness. Smooth and a little dry. Medium-full body.

Cedar, cedar everywhere, nor any drop to drink. Oh wait, here’s some! Kinda smells like potpourri that’s been stored in a cedar chest, but in a good way. Good stuff but glad we shared it three ways.

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a cloudy orange with a small frothy white head that quickly diminishes. The aroma is a strong floral hop and pine and light cedar. Medium mouthfeel with a smooth hop hiding alcohol well, with the cedar coming out in the finish. Easy to drink, a very good IIPA from Buffalo Bayou.
