Aged for one year. Poured into a 12 oz. Snifter and shared with a friend. Dark in color with a thick tannish head. Notes of all spice and ginger with a solid stout base. Recommend aging to those who are willing to wait.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Large shared bottle pours nearly black with a small, bubbly head.
The aroma is a nice approximation of actual gingerbread, hinting that the flavor may be over spiced.
Flavor: quite spicy but not overly spiced, creating a nice, lingering gingerbread aftertaste. Higher similarity to actual gingerbread than any other gingerbread beer in my experience.
Full bodied with somewhat lively carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Extra from Cloaker-thanks! Fairly thick pour. Not oily thick, but opaque and black brown-looks nice. Lots of gingerbread spice on the nose, mostly clove, some nutmeg. Taste follows but also some dark roast stout elements to carry it. Should note this is about a year old, so the spice isn’t screaming. Not my thing, but the spicing is tolerable here and overall it’s better than I thought. Pumpkinator folks would love this.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of gingerbread, and cinnamon. A dark brown pour with a quickly disapearing tan head and little lacing preceed a taste that is dominated by spice - cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves leap to the front. Hints of rosted malts and alcohol are also present with a lingering gingerbread aftertaste. Medium body and medium carbonation. Slight burn in the mouthfeel. Overall, initially the impact of the gingerbread spice seemed overwhelming, but the more I drank the better the beer tasted. Would have perfered a smoother mouthfeel versus the brun. basement aromas,

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of spices, roasted malts, light notes of vanilla, some chocolate, hints of dough, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same with a pretty nice blend of everything. Average texture. A cool stout.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours black with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is every bit as good as that of Hardywood’s Gingerbread Stout – ginger snaps in a big way. Medium-bodied and oily with gentle carbonation. The flavor is dark, singed and bittersweet with a generous measure of gingerbread goodness. Carbonic, burnt, ginger snap finish. I’m impressed. Bottle shipped my way by Rosebud butternuts!
