4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a nice white head. The aroma is like sweet orange peel with a piney tinge. The flavor starts off bitter followed by sweet clementine.

Don't let the name fool you. There are no cowbells. Very bitter with lots of floaters ahem I mean sediment.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(22oz bomber) cloudy orange, long lasting creamy white head. Nose of chlorine, honey, very floral, spicy, earth, celery, bits of Juicy citrus, cream, endless complexity. Taste has lots of spices, Belgian yeast profile is exceptionally prominent, medium bitterness like a grapefruit peel. Cinnamon In the finish, very unique beer for the style.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice orangey golden hue, low clarity, with beautifipul white foamy head. Not a lot of aroma other than mild Belgian notes. Flavor comes through nicely as it warms. Comes across as an average beer without any outstanding features.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 4/2/14
Aroma: The nose is Belgian yeast and spice, with some pine and citrus notes as well
Appearance: Pours a murky gold-orange color with a thick, frothy, white head and mid-heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is yeast and spice, some alcohol, not much citrus or hop juice noticeable
Palate: The body is medium-full, creamy and soft feel, a little heat, and a slightly off finish
This one was only okay for me. The hops just don’t come through enough for the style, and there’s something slightly off on the finish as well.

Bottle. The look is clear, orange in color, and has an ok off white head. The smell is yeast, really fruity, alcohol, and cleaner. The taste is hops, fruits, alcohol, cleaner.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle:   Dark dirty straw, moderate sudsy off-white head, little lacing.   Smells musty, and of wet socks, stale hops, and a touch of wet cardboard.   Not all that appealing on the nose.   Very similar on the tongue, musty citrus peel, wet sock, a touch wet cardboard.   Tastes very stale.   I have had the bottle for four months, so I wouldn’t think it would turn this quick.   Guessing the 20 percentile has something to do with it.   Warming on the tongue.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Finishes... well, like having soggy wet socks on a 2 hour car ride home.   Not pleasant.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours an enormous, tiny bubbled, well retained white head, with extensive lacing, over a cloudy, gold (SRM 5) body.....nose is floral honey, light pine, resin, hints of citrus....taste is light sweetness, hints of barnyard, orange peel, leading to a soft, lingering bitterness....mouth feel medium, alcohol lightly present, carbonation leads to a soft lightly acid finish. This is a very, very different I/DIPA. The yeast and the malt backbone hide the raw IBU’s quite well. This is a lightly sweet, yeast lead beer. The result is more of the hopped end of the Belgian Golden Strong style, than an American I/DIPA. It is not a bad beer, just don’t believe the label. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7
