This beer definitely pours cloudy and the aroma is lack luster at best. That being said, the flavor is definitely not bad. I don’t think i would buy it again, but I wouldn’t refuse a pint if offered..

Pours hazy dark copper with small head. Good aromas of pumpkin, spice, and bread. Tastes of pumpkin, some spice, and dank bread. Good taste, but moldy bready palate not enjoyable.

Poured a slightly orange color. Aroma of pumpkin, but it’s not too sweet. Taste is not too sweet either, but it tastes like fresh pumpkin. Good spices in the flavor. Overall it’s only ok.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Guest review. Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. The aroma has very little spice, but smells like pumpkin with hints of caramel. Clear appearance with a reddish-amber color. Very little head. Taste is a sharp bitterness at the beginning, then sweet with a clean finish. Almost no spice to detect, but plenty of pumpkin. Easy drinking. Almost a pumpkin-session ale.

Bottle. Orange, clear, no head. Strong carbonation, ery light, nutmeg aroma, taste is just okay. Not top pick for this type.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 20, 2012 My parents had this at their place so gave it a whirl. Stubby’ish bottle poured into glass a clear copper color, off-white head. Aroma of light pumpkin spices. Taste was on the weak side, light spices and pumpkin. Not a hard drinker that’s for sure! I’ll side with others there are better options out there but decent in a pinch.

Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent copper with good carbonation and off-white lacing. Smells and tastes alright; light and pumpkin spice with an average mouthfeel. More lagerish, so it doesn’t weigh you down (filtered?). Exceeded my expectations.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slightly darker orange than Shipyard’s. Head dies rapidly and leaves pretty much no lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and just a touch of earthy malt. Better balance of spice and malt here, but again, quite watery, which washes out the taste rather quickly. I remember having a mix of pumpkin ales last year and the year before - probably Schlafly and Sam Adams included among them - and they sure spoiled me.
