3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance- Pours I hate to say it a cloudy pumpkin orange with a quickly disappearing white head. Light lacing that was there one second and gone the next.
Aroma- Spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) with a fruity smell
T/P fairly light the smell is defiantly stronger than the taste. Very strong after taste to speak of, does kinda taste like you are drinking a pumpkin pie. Does have more of a spiced cider feel than a beer.
Overall- Good beer for Halloween due to the novelty factor and that is not a terrible beer. Not a great beer for a hard core beer drinker or one that does not like fruit / vegetable beers, but all in all a good beer to drink every so often

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not much flavor for a pumpkin ale. A bit flat compared to other brands. No smell of pumpkin either. Drinkable but not as good as other brands on the market with pumpkin. I would not try it again.

We did a blind taste test between this beer and other pumpkin ales to determine which one is the best pumpkin ale for the season. The beers were Shipyard Pumpkinhead, Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat, Buffalo Bill’s America’s Original Pumpkin Ale, Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale, and New Belgium Pumpkick. Check it out:

Out of bottle flat, sweet, just a very mediocre pumpkin ale. Last years I thought was better. Just not a lot a going on here.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden beer with a small, dense, off white head. Pale malts, generic fruityness and a faint spiced hint in the aroma. The flavor is lightly spiced, but mostly fruity and malty. Medium body, low but pleasant carbonation level. Quite decent, easy drinkable. 130906
